That's irrelevant. When you use other people's work you give credits. That's the least thing you can do. It's of course preferable that you ask the original creator of the code first, but I understand you wont do it for such small parts of code for such a small project, and I'm sure the creator would agree that it would be a time waste. But can't you just give credits? It takes a few seconds.
To be honest, ive referenced from a code i had ages back, but i dont know if its from that site, or if i made the code, because i had this downloader code for a long time >_>
