does the 3.1 retail client from a commercial site work with the server files?

I'm interested in setting up a server but just don't have the patience to wait and download chunks of slickones full client. Does the commercial 3.1 version i downloaded from e-gamo :p work? If not is there a "fairly" simple way in making it compatible. Thank you for your time :D

e-gamo = e-games O_o? And you have to use China Audition 3.1 o_o or China Audition 3.2 for 3.2 server =o

Oops a typo, sorry, i meant e-games version. I see, so only the China version works on this bad boy. Don't you just hate it when you download the wrong client. Do you know if there is a way in circumventing the fact that this idiot downloaded the wrong client? If so it would be very much appreciated if you could share the knowledge. Thanks

I just want to be able to play on my laptop when i travel and there is no internet available. If there is anyway i can do something to this e-games client and make it work on the 3.1 server,

(aside from downloading the chinese client, which i'll probably do it when i find some time from work)

Thanks somebodee for the response. Its starting to look like I've got no other choice but to download the chinese client.

Frustration aside, maybe the designers of this game can make this playable offline in the future as well as online (who do i have to email, lol). Anyways, I'll stick around for a little longer hoping for a miracle.

Can anyone tell me how to find the ip address to which the e-games (audition philippines) client connects to?

I've tried looking for it using a hex editor but no luck. I want to try adding a new Host file entry ("127.0.0.1 what.ever.addy") and doing a ipconfig /flushdns and see if I can connect my e-games client to the 3.1 server I have setup.

I would appreciate any help in finding the address on the PHau client.

rapriesse clients other then the chinese version do not work on this server they are very different from any other version of audition although cau is close to kaus client they in no way are able to connect to the same server files each audition client is different then the other

so what im saying is there is no way at all to use a client other then chinese the best you can do is edit the chinese files from different auditions but the versions in audition exe are different for every audition client

Btw this was also asked serveral times in this forum please check before posting a new thread of a question that has been answered before

BTW reason behind my post, not everyone has the time to rummage thru boards. Having said that, and admitting to the sad fact that english is the only language I speak, I find it more efficient (time-wise as well as coherency-wise) to ask for non-obligatory help from people.

One other thing, I doubt your attempt in pointing this out (my thread) to me will help solve your problem in people asking questions over and over again. What would make sense would be to organize yourselves, compile questions, and make a Faq easily available for viewers. Its alot of work and time, but I'm assuming if your serious enough to point out "point of orders", your serious enough to do it. Unless of course you guys get a kick or power trip out of calling people out.

Then you come out with a reply like that jeez anyways dont really care man stop being lazy and dl the client that works for the server. :winky: not really serious about it just answering questions when i gaze around forum every so often. Honestly i dont see how someone can get a power trip out of calling someone out i just simple stated the facts and you took it wrong anyways hf ^^
