Cannot Connect

I have tryd to set up my own local PT Server but i cant get it to work !
Can someone help me to set it up ?

I have installed Sql server 2005
and all needed programs in the Guide
i have set odbc to getaccess to sql server
i have done an .reg with info for ip to get client to connect to 127.0.0.1
i have edit ldata.bmp to ip 127.0.0.1
i have edit ptReg.rgx to 127.0.0.1

i have tryd dPT, ChaosPT, PsTale(test)
all does the same ! cant connect or password failed

i have tryd delete sql.dll in server folder not working

it seems that client does not connect to 127.0.0.1 eaven there is set in regedit and ldata.bmp, regx

I need dom help !
If som one maby will remote my server and set up it ? see if i have dine somthign wrong somwhere ?

Yes i have c8master as yser in ODBC
and it works when i test connection !

Someboddy out there that can solv my problem ?
Server starts pt starts
i got to diffrent Answers from 2 diffrent PT clients
Pristontale(test) 1871 showes up 2 smal windows with somthing i cant understand but cant log in al all
dPT client showes me one window and tells me Unable to connect

both is to work on the server files i have !
all settings is what all guides tells to do

I have server and client on same computer
can it be that ? or what can it be ?

Check your Client for the port and IP!
Or mabye you forget to open the ports. =)

Account manager did the trick !!! =)
Now all works i can log in and play !

Nw to next problem !

Its NOT my day !
I try to find an english client to play with on my server and now i get DC Disconnect with server
why ? I have not change nothign and now i onluy get "DC Disconnect with server"

Now another strange thing!
I can connect now on my local computer ! WITHOUT "DC Sisconnect with server"

But if i try to connect to my server by the LAN
I get "DC Disconnect with server"

My client computer 192.168.0.10
My server computer 192.168.0.163

regx is set to 192.168.0.163
ldata is set to 192.168.0.163

it did work b4 both from client computer and local server at the same time but nort now ?

But i have trange problem
Now i look in logfile foulder and find that all account i create bin black used ?
(Black User)1-3.log. In foulder BlackUser did i find matte.bur and in it you have this:
21:29:43 - ID( matte ) - ( 1440 )

Why do all this happen me ?

Server Crash when i connec to the server from another computer in my LAN and thats why i got "Connection lost with server"
But server stil run fine if i run client on same comouter as server !

WHy are the server crashing when connect to it from the LAN ?
No firewall enabled on server conputer !

Change all those IP's to your IP. www.whatismyip.com - the 192.168 is a local IP. Once when I used it I get DCed too.

Ok what port chould i use ?
coz i rung behind a router so then i need to forward a port from WAN ip to LAN ip

I opend 10009 and now all works just fine ! =) tanks !
Now i wonder how i can set mobs drop and what is the default XP rate ?
In my hotuk.ini you have a big xp rate as 20000000 :P
and how do i change things in the game ? som one have set up Happy New Year and alot of cristmas trees averall ! :P

I use the php version of regmanager

The xPT Account Manager is only based on .php files, so it may be hard to use .asp files.
Anyway, anybody have to use a webpage to make the registerpage work since its .php you know...
And it will always work if u follow the instructions the right way.

the xPT account manager is php but there are other account managers and register scripts out there that use asp, eg. quantum fusion's reg script, sandurs website, my reg page etc etc.... id appreciate it if you didnt flame at people for wording their posts slightly wrong
