You know we have a couple of Chinese posters and a couple of Vietnamese posters. Also some from Germany, Israel and recently a couple from UAE.

Considering this games affinity with Korea, I am pleased to see someone from it's homeland here, and trying hard to speak English with us. :thumbup1:

There's one easy way to do this if I remember correctly.
You just need to place a breakpoint on the comparisons after this line

Then you summon a monster. And then you don't summon a crystal but a pet (wolf, golem).
When a breakpoint is triggered, just check which flag is set. One of these might be the pet one.

Once you've located it, you just need to adjust my tutorial with that new offset instead of +47AC.
This will make crystal behave like pets (no stupid crown, not attacking each others and following you)

This is all theoretical of course, it'll require some trial & error to find the actual offset :D:

If you find the pet offset, and add it to the crystals, you don't need the second bit of editing, as it's already there.

this baffles me. how do you go about finding the offsets? the only way ive managed to do it so far is by changing random crap in the client until something changes somewhere as i dont understand olly too well yet. i guess if you attach the debugger and then when you use a skill with the debugger attached you can see what its done? :S

Try IDA, it's eating Olly for breakfast when comes to code analysing. It's bad editor so... use olly to edit and IDA to analyse.

Short answer to how to find "offset" is:
Look for thing like mov eax, idOfMob and see what way wind will blow it.
Long answer is complicated.

complicated would suit me better, i find most tuts too general and vague, i prefer to know how something works when i do it rather than just knowing that it works :P but i guess not everyone has time for such things, im just gonna write a program myself, that i know how it opperates and debug it with olly. change crap in it til i fully understand it. getting fed up of tryin to jump into the deep end with olly and edit complex crap when i dont understand fully the basics of how it opperates.

IDA is more complicated and way more advanced, it's just sux at assembling lines. It can even add new virtual section.

If not assembling part then I would drop olly long time ago.

Okay, let me explain this meaning of "offset".

DWORD PTR SS:[EBP+47CC]

equivalent to

mystruct.some_element

The Extended Base Pointer (EBP) is a pointer to mystruct. 47CC is the number of bytes into the struct that some_element is in to the structure. K? :D:

yea i understand that much... what i dont understand is how you refference chunks of ingame code to offsets in asm


i guess i have a class on assembly at university so that should explain some of it :P
