i am trying to make my server above then 100x xp rate
in my monster file its not matter wich one the xp is 4kk and in hotuk its 300 [exp event]
wich means the monster gives 12kk of xp!
i traid change the 300 to 400 i get dc or most of the times i get -xp
In HerosPT the xp is x160 then it is possible to fix it if its in hex or in any other way
so if anyone can help me that will be very kind to post a replay
btw i think its somthing like relocate exp table?

Just change your exp in the monsters folder and also in the hotuk to whatever who match.
i tried change in hotuk and monster file and cant get higher then 12kk for each monster..

This issue is *BIG*... there are many solutions, and none are completely satisfactory. In short, if you get DC4 when gaining XP, you are gaining too much XP, and you need to reduce the amount you get.
There is no known way to disable the DC4 server protection that I am aware of, but there are attempts to make you level more per XP amount (not yet successful it would seem) and other than that, it is just playing with the monsters XP and the Global XP rate as you are till you stop getting DCs. You can also slow down the rate players kill things... which helps. Examples are increasing the Abs or Health of monsters or (I think) lowering the level at which you Damage Cap.
Usually, this isn't the answer people are looking for, because they want to get more XP in less time but ultimately, that is what causes the Disconnection... so you need to stop doing it. ;)
Unless you are simply looking to quote "1000x XP rate" to pull the players in. But in reality, you will have to ensure that they kill things 1000x slower to achieve that stably... even then, if one kill gains more than about 3 levels (for a low level character fe) they will DC.
Your exp rate is x300?
That's way too high. And most of the time you get negative exp when the monsters exp is way too high.
Theres no way you can have an exp rate higher than x200 really. And even for x200, you need to have the files that have dc4 fixed or extended rather. Thats the only way I really know off, on how to have a higher exp rate than x100. I'm using those files right now and x170 works just fine
So don't bother with such a high exp rate, if you actually want to release the server. Nobody wants to play on a server with negative exp and dc4 every minute, its too much trouble.
you didnt get me right... i traid make lower the xp from monster file its was 4kk each monster now its 500,000 and now hotuk is 3k i traid make hotuk 4k but i get -xp wich means the maximum i can put in the hotuk is 3k!
now its wierd like i said my monster file have 500k of xp when i put it on 1kk i get instead 0.4% to 0.2% and its wierd koz i made the xp higher but i think its because i am not able put more xp
i can when i play i feel its somthing like x100 rate...
i have time i am not lazy i just need a solution maybe there is a way change the xp amount need for a level for example if need 500kkk for level i can make it 400kkk?

maybe its somthing with the blackuser koz its anti hack when u get high xp its r/c you and then dc you auto!
if i disable the blackuser its could work?
Disabling BlackUser would / could help... and I've recently had to do just that on an over damage issue. :(
You are right, high XP is anti-hack... and the style of disconnect changes, but it's still basically the server saying "I'm not going to talk to this client coz he isn't playing fair, so it's no fun."
I wasn't aware there are DC4 patched exes Impaled. Thanks for that, it would be interesting to see how that is done some time.
Philosophically I differ from the trend here. I don't like players levelling too fast. It took me a year to get my first character to level 15, and the level cap was 29 when I started playing, that was really fun... reaching level 80 in a week, just isn't... sorry.
But when PT went Pay2Play, they made levelling to 40 really easy, as that was when you start paying... I was then 35. That lead to an exponential trend in the levelling which I'm not keen on either. If the progression was more even, so that it's not silly easy at low level and silly hard at high level, that would be a very good thing IMHO...
But without being able to change the level:xp ratio tables successfully, you would be better doing the opposite, and having lower XP multiplier on the server hotuk, and higher XP in the monster files.
Your goals are different to mine (I think) so this may not be a good answer for you. But I do think that what you are doing is the right thing to achieve what you want, and you only need to keep tweaking till it stops breaking, and settle for that as the best you can do.
I see it like overclocking your CPU. Some CPUs overclock better than others, some people are better / luckier at overclocking than others. Regardless, it's always a balancing act, and it's all great and good fun until it breaks.Best of luck to you.
This post doesn't really answer any of your questions, I know, but I send it to encourage you to keep going as you are. I don't think there is one right answer for what you are trying to do, but you seem possessed of all the details to succeed in the end. I think it's just a matter of trial and error. If anyone knows differently, as Impaled proved some do, please share. ^_^

anyways i have 150 cap what the point pul low xp?they cant reach 11x so why i have 150cap?that my point now let me understadn what you are saying is make hotuk exp event 1 instead 3000 that what i have now lol and just make manually each monster?i can setup it like that even to x200??

There is very little point to going beyond 120 ish. But again, it's something people like to "sell" their servers on, because the players like to feel big. Personally, I'd rather they had to work for even level 6x, then they would have a reason to feel big, because it would be a real achievement. But it's all about server style. Many people like to "have a mess about" PvPing at high levels and don't want to work to get to them. It's all about choice.Originally Posted by tnrh1

Say you needed 10 xp to get to level 1, (reduce figures to illustrate) 20 xp to get to level 2, 40 xp to get to level 3 etc. That's exponential groath.
So a Hoppie gives 1 xp per kill, and a mushroom gives 2. A Bargon give 200, a Chaos Kara gives 4000 etc to balance out the curve of the levelling.
It takes a week to get from lvl 1 to lvl 2, it takes a week to get from lvl 99 to level 100.
That's my idea of fun... it's not popular, and you may not like.
But I think this is a more flexible way to change leveling. Using the monster files. Because I know one of the DC points is the number of level ups... not just the XP.
So if you kill one mob and that gives you enough XP to get 3 levels (and that's easy at low level with high Exp event) then the next monster you kill will "ding" you right away, even if it gives 0 XP. If that also gives you enough XP to level 3 times, you are in trouble, because you now have 3 level ups queued to come on the next kill... which will give you another 3 and "ding" once leaving 5 in the queue and so on.
Of course the game is going to break if you are working that way. And globably changing the XP rate in server hotuk will produce that. Where only increasing the XP for high level monsters will only affect high level player, and low level players can continue to level at a normal rate, with no DC / crash.
I hope that makes sense.
And I don't think there is a way to cancel all of the anti-hack code in the server, because there is more of that than there is code that performs normal operation. But if there is a DC4 fix version, that may well help you too.

i have the hotuk of heroes pt the xp there is around 200 i think in hotuk exp event is 50000 then how came?
Good question. "1000 as a percentage of normal Exp" is how it's described in the RFT, if I'm not mistaken... but I've not messed with it much.
All I can say is that 1000 (where mine is) feels about 10x the XP I used to get on EPT back in the day. So it "feels" right, to me. I can't say that it definitely is.
Maybe Heroes PT went the other way, as you where, and increased hotuk and decreased monsters.
I'm still not being very helpful...
Anyone have "real world" experience they can share, coz I have to say, messing with XP rates isn't something I've done much more than read around, and turn on or off. Or is my earlier "suck it and see" the best advise anyone here can give? If I'm wrong and there is some secret trick please say so, I could well be.
