how to open modem doors?

i have made my host static ip but i don't know why i still cant connect to it some said i need to open the modem doors but i don't know how to do it, anyone can help me?

Moden doors? i never hear somehting like that.
But sounds like ports?
Maybe you need to open the ports that your server use like: Port 10009
But im not sure at all xD

you should google with ur modem model cuz it depeds of ur modem, some times u can do it with a the cmd, some times typing in ur webbrowser 192.168.1.1, but u need to find the pasw to access ur router thats wy i said google using ur modem moddel.
