    IIS problem

hey anyone knows why every time i connect to IIS using other pc away from the host im getting this

The requested site did not respond to a connection request and the browser has stopped waiting for a reply.

    * Could the server be experiencing high demand or a temporary outage? Try again later.
    * Are you unable to browse other sites? Check the computer's network connection.
    * Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing.
    * Still having trouble? Consult your network administrator or Internet provider for assistance.

i already set the permission wizard to public but i cant ,connect to host and i made a virtual directory but still cant connect

    Re: IIS problem

Right click Default Web Site, Go to Properties. Click on the Directory Securities tab. Where you see Authentication and access control, click EDIT.

Then type in your username / password for the computer (ex: administrator / 12345678 ) (Click ok after your done)

Click on the next EDIT button and make sure everything is set to granted

If this doesn't work, try to connect with your lan ip or the wan ip. If this doesn't work ,then it could possibly be because you set the port to IIS to something other than 80 Which you'd need to put that port in the firewall. Or just set it to 80. I use 80 and the sites work fine for remote access.

It's the Authentication issue I just said I think. (Trust me, I've been having many issues with this, but I'm no pro.) When you set the correct User and PW. I know when I did lan IP on the host it works, but Wan Ip wouldn't. But if you use Wan IP on a different computer (with a different network) it'll show, or at least it should.
