3124 was current when I started this thread... so 3126 can't be far off. It's not hard to download the client from the ePT website (or any of the official clients) even if you don't register. That's how I got them.
Thanks for the share. :)
The one I made just connects fine to KPT / JPT server on port 10007. I don't seem to get admin working though.
Hmm... Remember there are different ways of writing Hotuk.ini.
It may be that you have to check the string comparisons in your Game.exe with your Hotuk.ini file... unless you think the client is going admin and the server is booting it off because of it.
May be there is a way to get files that are u-to-date?
I can give a client file of EPT if someone could remove the xtrap.
Would it be worth making a full tutorial? Stuff does move around a fair bit between the different language versions these days. I could spend my entire life doing nothing but removing XTrap from the latest version of each language release and test clients. XD
Oh if you could make a tutorial I would be very happy :)
Okie dokie then... that's on the job list.
this patch can be applied to 12sky 2 a game that also uses xtrap.
I already try radix a program that suspends it and nothing.
Maybe you guys know better.
Binary patches are created for a specific source... the first check is that the CRC / MD5 checksum and size match the original file... otherwise no patching will take place.
That's why I used these patches. They are only useful if you have THAT EXACT SAME EXECUTABLE. And that means you can't apply it to anything else. That's deliberate; it's what I wanted. I wanted it like that fore legal, ethical and "idiot-proofing" reasons.
Any request for something that works on anything will be rejected (not only because that would be hard, and technically impossible to future-proof) but because it is not Legal or Ethical and could never be "idiot-proof". :ott1:
