this is not new, you just changed the files...
whats the point of this?
is not new? if you want I'll show you the camera in 3d max xD
you just opened ricarten map in 3ds![]()
camera = ricarten ????????? KKK o.o
I don't mean to be rude, but what is the point of posting this?
Are you releasing this, or are you going to write a tutorial on how to make your own intro scene?
Or are you just showing off what you can do?
Doesn't make sense.
If I had any ability, I would try to avoid the following:-
- Camera moving through trees and walls
- Showing the distant object "cull"
I'd also like to see some panning, as well as tracking. Feels a little odd facing the same direction while you move around the map so much.
Nice to see the Ricarten Docks though. :)
Good effort.![]()

brief tutorial in english ^_^
Good guide... but it's not "in english" XD
The subtitles are "callouts" not "captions"? If you make a timed caption script, you can add multiple language captions, and we can contribute more translations. (as I have done here, PM if you have trouble, happy to help ^_^)
Would you like this thread moved to the Tutorials sub-section now? I'd be happy to do that, but won't if you'd rather not.
Great job, and thank you very much for sharing.
--- EDIT ---
Oh yea, am I right in reading that the .cam file is actually just a renamed .ase file? :O I'm sure this makes me sound stupid, but I'm not too proud to say that idea never occurred to me. XD
@bobsobol
Export your camera object from 3DS as .ase to StartImage\Opening
and name it: opening_camera.ase
*CAMERAOBJECT {} in .ase will be converted to camera.
Pre aor opening was using built in camera :)
exact
bob so I use subtitles xD
