POSSIBLE to skip SQL step?

Ahhhh now I see....no c8shit! ....LOL I was using c8master "DERRRRRRR"
But how can I see my pc name????
Cause thats whats happening to me in last step.. (note: Even using other names instead c8master) thats what im getting =(

I found my PC name ...but doesn't work anyway... =(

so you did that part with adding database to your mssql server? if you did, the database server is up, if you don't - make sure you manage to get the mssql really up ;)

Did you saw the pic?? Its impossible to get through that part...

well as far as I remember the SQL manager does not connect via ODBC so it connects to MSSQL directly and IF the mssql is running, you will be able to connect to the manager to add the database, and only then you will need the odbc bridge to be used by the game server. so if you can't connect with the manager - your mssql is not running!

but still get stucked in this part... no matter what ...never find any server!

Yes I can connect to my database via (SQL 2005 management studio express) ...I just can't access my database via ODBC (last step from guide)

Can make server work without that?

wtf....... i didnt know that the c8master was supsoed to be your computer name... ROFL, hm, maybe thats why i was always getting Unable To Connect To Server?

Thats mine SQL database... its correct, just like in the guide

Mate, i had similar problem with that last step.
what i did was. i went to Surface Area Configuration for Services and Connections.
and in the Remote Connections, selected:
Local and remote connections using both TCP/IP and Named Pipes.

and that fixed my problems.

I had the same problem with no servers that appear but go to you microsoft SQL database and when you login just copy the server name into the thing worked for me.
