Here's an update that fixes a few bugs.

Proof that it works

I've gotten a lot of pms saying it won't work and stuff, so here's a short tutorial.

1. First put the exe file and the .ini file in A folder, doesn't matter which but they have to be in the same one.
2. Now edit gmbsettings.ini. I suggest setting the interval at 30-60 seconds.
3. Run gmb.exe

Edit: The ban button is to manually ban an individual username, the program will ban the hackers automatically!

Seeing as how it was created in Visual Basic, you could simply be missing a required file to run the program Alexmoder (especially if the file missing is only acted upon after X amount of time).

BF, I haven't had time to run the program yet, but you should upload a version that includes error handlers. That way people can post the entire error message instead of just stating that they had a 'runtime error'. It'll also make for an easy FAQ in dealing with the given errors if you decide to add a ReadMe.txt to the rar.

Edit: He could be missing MSCOMCTL.OCX. Again, I haven't opened the exe with anything but a hex editor as of yet (haven't setup a PT server as of right now), but the file appears to be in use.

burning finger , i am wondering what line does your program search for in the log. I have not tested your program yet. IS it the energy client bar error ?

Yes

And it has to be run on the server computer because it has to search the logfiles, so unless a gm has access to the host, its useless for them to have it unless they want to manually ban people with it.

Really nice release... an idea for next version :biggrin:


Some servers have Admins/GMs overpowered and their accs are banned by program, you could create an exception list (in a txt) and admins can write there the ids which program wont ban.

What is the file ur program look for Burning? "date".log?

I am asking because i am still getting Path not found error 56.
