[Question] STB Guides?

Hello, Ive played Rose Online lots in the past and its time for me to start helping out with my spare time. I want to like fix bugs/make shops and edit things basicly and i have relised that .STB files are the most inportant part on what i need to do. So im just wondering ive been looking threw Ragezone to try find guides but i didnt have any luck. Could someone give me a 'URL' to a STB guide. Like how to edit it or something. or if someone could tell me. I got the STB editor and when i open a file like 'item_sell' in the STB Editor its complicated shows lots of questionmarks. Unless i need to install a language package.. Hope you can spare a few minuets of your time trying to help me. I will help use guys out alot in the future hopefuly!

STB Editing isn't hard, but it does take time. You have to look at the columns, tables, and rows carefully. Someone told me 'to look carefully', so in a month's time I was already in an iRose server w/ a DEDI.

How To Edit Shops

Well first off you have to know which NPC is which ID in LIST_SELL.STB. To do this, you have to look in LIST_NPC.STB. We'll use 'Pabel' (Eucar) for example. Look somewhere in an ID List, and search 'Pabel'.

According to the picture, I used my list & saw that 1185 was his ID. Now that you have his ID, open up LIST_NPC.STB and go down to ID #1185. Once at 1185, move right to Column 21 - if you can see, it is the 1st sell tab.

Now look at the STB. On column 21, it says 528. That's the 1st sell tab (in the picture).

Now open up LIST_SELL.STB, and go down to 528. As you can see in the picture (below), those are all the values/IDs for the items.

For example, 10006 would be Health Bottle (L).

One common question - why can't it be 106 (10 for type - 6 for ID)..? Well I don't know how exactly to explain it, but this is what I think. I think it's because there are IDs that reach up to the hundreds, they'd have to space it out and stuff.

Now - here's a tip: For every 8 columns, is a row in the shop (ingame). 10002-10012 in the picture (above), will be the first column in-game (See in-game picture above).

Now - another tip: If you want to add like 5 items, and leave the other 3 empty - it's simple. Just add the 5, and then skip the 3 (leave them blank). Then move to the other set of 8 in the STB.

Another tip: Item Types

• 1 - Mask
• 2 - Hat
• 3 - Armor/Suit
• 4 - Gloves
• 5 - Shoes
• 6 - Wing/Back
• 7 - Jewels (Rings, Amulets, ETC.)
• 8 - Weapons
• 9 - Shields
• 10 - Consumable Items
• 11 - Gems
• 12 - ETC. (Wool, Feathers, ETC.)
• 13 - Doesn't Work
• 14 - PAT Items (Cart, Castle Gear, ETC.)

1. Do I have to add 0 if the ID is in the tens or ones digits?

Yes or they will not show.

2. What's the max sell tab limit?

Four.

3. The item isn't showing on the right spot I want it to. What's going on?

Remember the 8-group rule. 8 columns (STB) = 1 row (ingame).

4. Did you really make this or jack it off some guy?

I made this... I was bored since I had nothing better to do.

5. Will I make any other guides (editing item stats, etc.)?

When I feel like it, or have the time.

Where do I have to put the edited "LIST_SELL.STB" and "LIST_NPC.STB" files in? In the 3DDATA.VSF with vsfnextgen? Or put it in a folder in "3Ddata" called "STB"? I've tried these 2 things, and with vsfnextgen I got an error...
And with putting it in the STB folder, it doesn't work :S

The guide he gives is for arcturus , if you use osrose/osirose you need to edit csv too

just put the stb in 3d data

and if you use arcturus the stb must be placed in server foolder and client foolder

i have a qwestion

after i add the items to shop BUT how can i change the amoun of price for the items
i know some prices can change under useitm .stb is only for type 10 items but the other where can i do it.
like the price for materials or bullets, cannons ,arrows the normal price for this is in shop
1-12 gold will change some to 1k gold

so i ask how can i change the amount fro the each prices ??????????????

Correcto =P. I have little knowledge on STB/Data Editing on osiRose & osRose and I'm only telling you how to do it w/ Arcturus files.

If you use Arcturus, place it in your SHO\srvdata\3ddata\STB. Then in your iRose client, go to 3ddata and create a folder called "STB" and place the files inside the STB folder.

For osiRose, I have no idea what to do.
