[Guide] How to make a conquer private server

i made one server myself but i only know how to make the server at the moment so any other questions i will not be able to answer untill i learn't them myself

1. download Visual C# from - go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=514...411&clcid=0x409

2. get the file - nic-nac-project.de/~exact/CO_Full_Server.rar

3. last get this file - wwwmaster.postgresql.org/redir?ftp%3A%2F%2Fftp2.us.postgresql.org%2Fpostgresql%2Fbinary%2Fv8.1.3%2Fwin32%2Fpostgresql-8.1.3-1.zip

leave these files open for later use

4. in your C: harddrive make a folder called
COFullDB

than right click this folder and select security and sharing and tick the "share this file" and then on the security tab allow full rights to everyone

5. open this folder nad make a folder called
Main

6. open this folder and make the folders
OtherData
CharacterData
Indexes
AuthTables

7. then with your file from step (2.)
extract the folders in to the main folder in C:\COFullDB\Main

8. open the (step 2.) folder called CO Full Server then open the CO Full Server Visual C# Project file

9. forget the errer just click ok then click cansel to the temp key password thing

10. right click from the right then file called BackEndDB.css and click open
press Ctrl+g and type 200 enter there your ip should be like "192.168.*.*" *=a number for you ip

this ip can be found useing start then click Run then type cmd then type ip config enter that ip.

save the changes of that file then close the FILE NOT VISUAL C#.

11. on the right click the + box for the Reference folder your see XYThreadPool has an errer right click and click Remove then right click the Reference Folder and click add Reference then the broser tab then go to C:\COFullDB\Main\XYThreadPool\obj the file you need is the XYThreadPool.dll
add that.

12. Right click CO Full Server on the right and go Properties
click the Signing tab then untick the second checkbox

then click the button Create Test Certificate and make a password

then close the Properties and on the right there will be 2 Temp Key things one _1_ in it
right click the other one and click
Exclude from project and right click CO Full Server again and click Build and wait
Statas and bottem of Visual C# when finished right click Co Full Server AGAIN and click Rebuild

13. Install PgAdmin this step 3. and REMEMBER THE PASSWORDS YOU SET

then open this and click Servers then click the power cable near top

in Address enter : localhost
Description : Conquer Server (Don't need to be just exsample)
and Password : your second password from installing

leave the rest don't need to be changed
then click ok
14. open the Server and right click DataBases then Add new DataBase
call this Conquer Leave rest click ok

15.CLick Conquer Database and near top middle click the paper and pencal SQL on the paper and enter - nic-nac-project.de/~exact/table.txt in the area
click the Play button and let this run if errer plz post here and i'll get bck to you

when complete close the text box thing

right click "Conquer Server" and click refresh

16. Open Databases , Conquer , Tabes then right click Veiw Datas and enter your Server name and ip here

then save and close the box

the in same place right click Accounts and view data and enter the ID Name in first box leave second box on flags box enter 8 for GM

so you sould only fill the ID box and Flags box then save and close the box

now on your Visual C# Project program Right Click CO Full Server Again and click Debug the the first side option (can't remember it :P) it will run the debug when done it will open the program type in the Second Password in the password box from installing PgAdmin then click the Listen Button

then the Listen Button Changes to STop Minimize it and the VIual C# and pg admin

17. go to your conquer fole and copy Server.Dat and put somwhere save then Open server.dat and enter your Server name and iP from the PgAdmin thing then add that server.dat to your conquer folder

18. open conquer log in and play your log in with a selector charater = good this is how there server set you change how you like pk your char to select you will go to maple Forest

there is nothing wrong with this your just need to change

your ip you set is incorect

click start at the bottem left then click run then type in cmd

then when the program opens type in ipconfig /all

you that ip

on all the areas where you have to enter an ip :3dflagsdo

what IP am i ment to use? WAN/LAN/DNS?? i dont know. When ever i go into debug it auto comes up with my LAN ip.

Ive tried all IP's none work =S im connected behind a router trying to play just on LAN. how can i do that?

That errer is and ip problem or server errer

so to check if there is not a prblem with your server

REMEMBER :

to log on to your server you must have the server program open and listening

so open the working CO Full Server Projects and click Run Debug your get the log in panel thing

log in with your postgres account the second password you sent

then click the listen button when you get the next window open

then check the Server.dat file it send ing you to the LAN ip

then log in with there Visual C# and Server Programs open these must be open to accsess the server.

guide 100% incomplete and 100% error CO Full Server_TemporaryKey.pfm is necessary and cannot decrypt password :S

well the tut is 100% corret because i just followed it and made a working server

and i just been told use your public ip not lan try that


if your getting errer
1.your not following the tut right
2.you missed somthing
3. somthing wrong with you :/

the temperaryKEY if you read the tut right tells you how to bypass

and the links i was not allowed to post working ones because the 5 post or less thing but they should give you a idea of the link

LOL WRONG!!!:D

I have as server IP 169.*.*.*
so just run
CMD
IPCONFIG

or google for whatsmyip

192.168.*.* is only trou Router connection

-Did you check out BackEndDB.cs line 200?
-In server.dat did you fill in the right IP and servername(same as in PostgresSQL database both IP's and Servernames have to be the same)

[Reminder] this is not a full server it's just to give you an idea of how conquer server work

but if you know C++ good enouth you could get a great working server :P

Please answer my error :S when i put the sql file in the database and i press "play", i get this error: ERROR: could not set permissions on directory "C:/COFullDB/Main/OtherData": Permission denied
Estado SQL:42501
