My vps is being ddos'd a lot lately and i don't know what the hell i can do to stop it.

No they crash the whole vps, which holds the evilgunz website and evilgunz server obviously. It all goes offline then online after a few mins, bare in mind this is NOT the actual webserver!

Get off of a VPS. Most VPS companies will shut you down for getting DDoS'd or null route you temporarily to stop the flood of traffic.
Instead, move to a dedicated hosting system, pref. one that specializes in DDoS mitigation like the one I use does. Get a toplayer device to help mitigate the traffic.
You'll probably want a strong hosting company to boot. Chances are your VPS host has a single 100mbit line, which can be taken down by even a single residential connections these days.

Also, more information will be needed to determine the exact attack. Check your webserver/matchserver/windows logs, see what one is being attacked. If the VPS never goes down completely, chances are they're attacking a single service that is causing it to lag horrifically. If the entire VPS goes offline and reboots, then either your host took it offline or they found a way to exec something remotely that would reboot it.

Just dont use a VPS. VPS's are horrid for game server hosting like GunZ. They're catered for other things (Especially not windows VPS's *shutters*)

SoftLayer is a bit of an overkill.
The prices are real expensive because of the support.
But anyway, some hosting companies would help you block the DDoS if you made a support ticket about it.
