    note Editing Interface XML.

Yes, I know, this sounds familiar.
But, no, I haven't been able to locate any thread that tells me this specifically, after searching.

How do you edit the interface(default and loadable) xml while being able to view the design?
How do you calculate the x,y coordinates when positioning an image?

I find it hard to believe that people like Styx would spend hours just re-POSITIONING the images.
So I'm forced to conclude that there must be some program/method I'm not aware of.

    Anyone care to explain?

styx does spend time repositioning. After you've messed with the XML's for a while, you get a good enough idea of what to use, so it won't take that long.

There was a X/Y position thing posted here, I forget by who, but I was never to fond of using it.

    Re: Editing Interface XML.

    I see.
    Thank you.

sidenote ; Anyone link to the x,y thread?
Or know a method of calculating it?
I can't search coordinate terms, too short, so if anyone knows the thread, would you mind sharing it?

    Re: Editing Interface XML.

Actually photoshop has that kind of function.
I guess it should work if you simply made a SS of the login, then opened it up in photoshop and then look for the coordinates.

Altough, you will get used to it using simply keep changing the X/Y.
It takes time , but the more you do it the faster it'll go.

    Re: Editing Interface XML.

Photoshop does not have that kind of function, as far as I know.
Closest thing would be the ruler system, which does not use coordinates, but measures in pixels, cm, etc.

There's also the grid function, but thats rather pointless, as it does not measure in any form of accurate numerals.

    Re: Editing Interface XML.

    Close this thread.
I found out how styx does his xml's from one of the guides I was reading through.
I forgot photoshop had that function.

    Thanks for the help, guys.
Now on to spending days on an interface despite having quit GunZ permanently, probably. (until korea comes up with japanese designs, and finally gets a fucken win)

    My thanks to ;
3x6, for first reply, experienced comment, and his "basic layout" thread from '09.
Tidus, the bastard whose making me do this for him.
MorpheusZ, for the info, and for the time taken to help.
Military, for saying something that made no sense, and trying to help.
Styx, though he didn't help directly, his xml guide showed me something I never noticed in the xml.
