Gunz Launcher Update Error. Please help

Well I used to be running my server on hamachi and my launcher would patch the files fine but now that I'm using an actual dedicated server I get this error.

Please help me. And yes I did hex edit the ips in the launcher to the ones on my dedicated server. If you can help I'd be rly thankful.

EDIT: I just found out that when trying to patch, a new patch.xml is created in the gunz folder that is 0 kb. I still dont know whats wrong.

Check config.xml and system.xml

Did u make sure to put the ip correctly into the launcher? (overwriting
the original ip with the new one)

Yea it should be right. I tried it like 3 ways but it didnt work. (i put it back to the right way now though)

Me too I can't get it working on 2008 file so I'm using an svn instead xD its like better but much more complicated...

Error404 means file not found.
So probelly you won't have an patch.xml in the right folder at the webhost.
The right folder should be ./gunzweb/GunzUpdate/

EDIT: You can find the right folder by hexing the launcher and search for patch.xml. You should see something like gunzweb/GunzUpdate around there somewhere.

I have the patch.xml in C:/wamp/www/gunzweb/GunzUpdate

And I'm almost positive the hex is correct.

The 0kb patch, is because your launcher cant find the patch.xml on the server. You should double check the folder names, also check tge captial letters. !!i think this is the problem!!

If there is an error try port forwarding.

Another non gunz like to update use SVN assembla.com use tortoise svn create a repository and upload on it, commit the updates and make your players update :P

I am also a GM on the server that hes using and I know whats causing the problem. Basically our dedicated host has this thing where their default 127.0.0.1 (so our site) is advertising their stuff. To get around that, i edited the apache to make the port 9080 instead of 80 and the website works (It would be wanIP:9080) so when i type 127.0.0.1:9080 on the launcher it shows me all the files.

So how do we include the port, as that is causing the problem.

Guessing u cant have a colon in a URL but thats the real URL......Am I screwed or is this fixable
