Gunz Website from the vps and using my own payed domain name?

Hello This is my first time trying to get a website or reg page up for my Gunz
I am getting confused and wondering how do i do this?

I have a vps and my own domain name



I have looked on google and the search bar to see if there is a tut on how to do it through my website

I do not want to use my Vps ip address to do this i just want to do straight out my domain name
Syndicategunz.net and the website is there so people can reg for game and even go to forums

If some one can direct me to a tut or post how to this that would be great !

You install a CMS the same way you install a forum.

The forum was install using a ftp client. Explain it better to me please.

2 ways .. either install IIS7 and DNS server on your vps ..adding your domain as default website , configuring php stuff manually [Hard way ] or install appserver or wamp or any thing like that on vps then porting your domain to your vps thought DNS settings on domain options [maybe a subdomain with masking will do just fine ] .. [Easy way]

Sounds so complex xD I have vps , but not a domain through the company i got the vps from, would that be a problem ?

No it would not, just go to the DNS panel in the domain host website and find where it says @ then an IP, change the IP to your VIP IP, wait a few hours and then its done.

It isn't hard at all, go to where you registered the domain, login and then you should be able to edit the DNS records. It should have something like an A record then it shows where the A record is pointing to (aka which IP address it is pointing at) just edit that IP with your VPS IP. Then put something like xampp on your VPS so it has apache installed, and then you're done.
