[Question]lvl beyond 99?

Well i saw on server advertises that EpicGamerZGunZ lvl goes beyond lvl 99 and revivedgunz the same but i wanted to do that to but do i gotta edit the runnable ? because i tried to edit formula.xml like this

And when i did that and people that were lvl 99 and people kill them they get lvl 1, ur lvl 69 just they lvl down they dont go higher then lvl 99 and i tried to change.

Everytime someone levels they smile and are happy. If they can lvl five times as fast as before, doesn't that means 5 times as much satisfaction? Just a thought...

Hey. You need to mess with the DB coding and the matchserver files.

Im not going to give away too much because i take pride in being the first and, now, one of the only servers to have done this but I can say its fairly easy, you just have to know what your doing. Its in the DB and server files. Looking through the source code we have, the gunz.exe itself only calls to level the player from one level to another, and (BIG HINT) it searches a certian .XML in your matchserver folder for the level and the general exp given when killing someone. You need to look somewhere else to tell the game that when the player hits x amount of exp at the level its at (ex. 99) that it will go up a lvl (ex. 100). Our way was messing with the DB code and the server files.


little EXP info: This is only to help you further. EXP works with generality. like say from lvls 1-5, you set 2x EXP, and from 6-10 you set 4x. This only makes the levels 1-5 get twice as much as normal and same for 1-6. Most of you already knew that. If im lvl 90, and i kill a lvl 1. Theres an EXP set so that I(referring that we still have 2x EXP rates) only get 40exp. This will happen for every level from 1-5, if im in the 96+ catagory. Now from like say 50-60(saying its a catagory, i know it isnt but still.) i might get like 100. It all depends on the general lvl groups. This will help you in correctly making lvl 99-100 successfully working and functional. If you need a deeper explination i can give one if you PM me. Im a little stressed and tired so this portion might not make sense, just PM me later and ill help you.
