Uh no....
Our latest gear has nearly 100G of RAM and has 32 cores (64 if you count the new XEON's as 8 per cpu). On top of that we have 4 dual quad xeon's w/ 16G ram shipping from our chicago location to Portland.
Ragezone runs on one of these, eathena's main site and a few fairly large sites. DATORRENTS will be moving into the ranks as well. Understand our Shared SQL servers really cut the edge off what a user requires to run their services. We have a shared MSSQL as well (just not really publically known yet) meaning a user only needs the better part of ~100M ram to run a gunz server on our services.
The rest (MSSQL's usage) we eat on our side of it at no cost. Our chicago servers were a bit busy and near full usage, but it wasen't worth it to us to expand in Chicago due to the excessive costs involved in rack and bandwidth. Our Portland spot really fixed that issue nicely and more is coming as we see a need for it.
We've had loads of customers move from VPSLand due to their new abusive policies towards private servers (runescape is a big one).
As it stands we're the only host out there that, amongst isn't going to scam you or shut down in 2 months (90% of the europe based VPS companies do this), that will defend users against DMCA's whenever we can. Good luck getting that from kickass/vpsland/etc. These hosts will cut you the moment a DMCA comes in (trust me, happens in the runes w/o even DMCA's now).
