    [Release/Tip] Notepad++

    No, this is not a joke. And no, I didn't make this.

    It's a pain to edit lines of a config *.txt line by line in notepad, or in any other release. I ran across this text editor that allows you to use wildcards in searches such as:

    Find: [country [0-9] [0-9]]

    Replace with: country 2

    This allows you to replace any instance of 'country' followed by two numbers separated by a space with simply 'country 2.' That example is the most simple use I can think of. I've used this to make broad, sweeping changes to my inititem and the other config files. Hope you guys like it as much as I do.

    Call me crazy, but I thought some people here might get good use out of this.

    Cheers.

    You missed my point. You can't have wildcards in regular notepad when using Find and Replace.

    Eg search *.gtx in windows explorer and it returns every file ending in .gtx. That's a wildcard; use your brain or at least use Google.

    Ehhh... I KNOW cntrl h works. Why don't you try and use the fucking software and MAYBE you'll understand how to use the wildcard expressions.
