db open failed
Hello
I have a big problem , i am almost done setting up server but yeah as Always there are errors or/and bugs etc.
followed zkempels tutorial he didnt get this login box Server Setup Tutorial - YouTube 
I have been told that u need login with sql id and password , but don't have one and i would like to know how to create on without errors.
PS : I have already made 1 thread with alot of problems , but i just noticed that u need make Always new thread for new problems .

check if you did everything ok wtih odbc.. and did you create and restored both databases?show or tell us what you wrote,used at odbc so we can try help you out also check this tuturial if you maybe missed 1 step

I'm not sure with this , but could you try having mysql connector?

could anyone re explain this ?
[~Now copy and paste the address of the file "C:\Documents and Settings\Jared\Desktop\Kal.Server.Working.2006.09.01\KALdb" that would be mine
~Still in options under "Move to physical file name" put that address so for me I would have "C:\Documents and Settings\Jared\Desktop\Kal.Server.Working.2006.09.01\KALdb\KAL_AUTH.mdf"
Do the same thing for the log file as well.

I did not miss a step for sure ..... , i have searched forums and some people have too same problem but noone of people know the solution... I would apreciate if someone know how to fix and tell me here
UPDATE : I FIXED IT YAAAY , Now how i fixed it ? , well i created during sql installation a account bassicaly i picked mixed mode and the username is default sa and password u can choose and run auth exe , db etc. with administrator and fill in the password and id ( id is sa )

Really glad you got this issue fixed hunny :) n yeah i use Mixed mode sa and PW is the best and more secure way to go as well :)
