    Mssql

    Hello,

First of all. The SQL- server is runing on a windows web server 2008.

MSSQL (2005 edition) is working as well, ODBC is also working, too.

Now the problem: When I want to connect the website scripts with the database isn't it working... I also tryed it via direct connect, also $mssql_connect = ("host","user","pass") and via ODBC connect.. But nothing happens...

    Can anyone help me?

    mssql_connect($host, $user, $pass)

    You mean that?

Also make sure permissions are set up right.

Check in "Start -> Programs -> Microsoft SQL Server 2005 -> (Native) Client Network tool / Server network tools" if your TCP/IP is enabled, and if a port is set (should be 1433)

Oh yes, XAMPP doesnt work with MSSQL 2005. You need to find a fixed ntwdblib.dll and place it under apache/bin

    Re: [Help] Mssql

    Stop using plesk, start using xampp, and like Bjorn said: "You need to find a fixed ntwdblib.dll and place it under apache/bin" Then it will work with mssql_connect('pcname\SQLEXPRESS','sa','pwd');

fyi. xampp you need to replace that .dll... xD lol and PLESK is something like "cPanel" it controls the server.

I allready had it, thanks anyway. Works fine :)!

Now I have the trouble with PLESK. I still need PLESK.

I also used another port for XAMPP (2500), works also fine.

But when I want to join the site, its opening the site first. But after 10 seconds is there a timeout.

And the mainpage (also this one witch is running on PLESK) shows now the PLESK-START-SITE Oo.

    Re: [Help] Mssql

well why the hell are you using plesk on a dedicated server? get rid of it. its just ristrictive and annoying. kill it and put xampp on port 80. should fix most of your issues
