since you probably need hosting for more people you have to buy host for at last 25€-30€+
since some people still ddos you will need ddos protection.

just google there are few companys..you need 4gb ram or more to work on it while players play (so players wont have laag..) and for bandwith (i would go for unlimited if you get ddosed..(you still can get suspended) also get yourself ddos protected.. because if you get ddosed company can suspend your root... happend to alot admins at kal before

server4you sell cheap about 25 euros/month its not realy much i was paying 200 euros every month, even if u have bought cheap root u will get ddos attacks etc so u can use the server with home pc then (MajorIG) ^^

i wish i could use my pc, 16gb ram, 1tb disk, i7... would save like 100+ euros... but i cant freaking open my ports, cause my friends can only connect to my server if i use hamachi, if i put my IP they cant... already "opened" ports at root and firewall, dunno whats wrong...ffs

good luck hosting on your own pc. you dont even read what we said. if you open on bad host you will get ddosed. simple as that. no money no server sad but true.

16gb ram, 1tb disk, i7 = bad host 0.o ? Also i wanna have a small server, for fun, and try to attract more ppl, if they start to come, then ye, i feel ready to waste some euros on it, but till then, i just wanted to open the server in my pc... but ports dont let me as i said...

man i get it, ill get ddos attack, but my main objective is to open server to the world wide, next step is ddos protection.

fags will instantly start to ddos you. i bet it won't take more than 24 hours and the first attack comes in :P.
also it doesn't matter if you have a good pc, when you still have a bad internet connection. I have 5 mb/s download and 1 mb/s upload at home. this would be enough for 200-300 players without lag I guess... so if you can't compete with that, forget it, or forget it now.. a home computer was good at the beginning 2006 but nowadays it's just a "small fry over a hot heat"(dunno how to say it >.>)
