    this how drops are calculated?

i think this is how but just checking with search i get to many different ways and some are way off

    generates 3 #s total

    1st = group
    2nd = money or item
    3rd = item

and i think there calculated like this if 1 group is 150 next is 200 next is 700 then first gets #1-150 second gets 151-200 last gets 201-700 and 701 - 1000 = no drop

so for that the rates would be 15% on #1 5% on #2 50% for item 3 and 30 % for no item

so it generates a # 0-1000 for group and checks the # then one for money or item like if money (750 90000) you have 75% chance of geons and 25% chance of going on to item calculation then finaly generates for the item

as far as i have seen this is right

So this should add to a balanced group dropping all items with odds about 0.09% and dropping money 4.5% i think >.<
    (group (index 3700) (money (900 250000)) (item (180 2124 0) (360 2125 0) (540 2126 0) (720 2127 0) (900 2128 0)))
    (itemgroup (index 2401) (group (50 3700)) (group (100 3701)) (group (150 3702)) )

:EDIT: also Group should always be high its easier to change drops in itemgroup then in goup

just posting my theory on it as far as i can see its almost 100% but still being random 10% doesn't mean 1 in 10 will get it just means 1 in 10 of the possibilities are it lol

puting it simple its the space between the numbers to 1 to 1000 so 250 500 750 1000 would mean an = 25% of one of thease being called 200 400 600 601 would mean 20 20 20 0.1% ect

and a 39.9% chance of nothing

thats what i was saying basicly only i brought up that it generates 3 times 1 time to see what group 1 time to decide to drop money or continue to item and 1 last one for what item

i just wanted to know if this what correct cause i'm useing "(x *y * z) * 100 = %" to find the % chance for a drop and it seems to be dead on but was wondering if its all luck >.<

    :EDIT: hmm... (group (index 6969) (money (750 50000)) (item (333 1 0)(666 2 0)(999 3 0))) ends up getting item 3 every time but (group (index 6969) (money (1 50000)) (item (333 1 0)(666 2 0)(999 3 0))) gets all evenly -.-

the money call number has to be lower then the starting of the item number or just make a nother group for money

    good idea :)

need to get better with droprates because i'm doing a full rewrite of itemgroup i don't like how it was set up when i got it :) going for more of a formated easy to navigate itemgroup :) cause... i cant stand ooking at the mess thats there now lol you should see my initmonster >.<
    Code:
    ; ------ High drop ----
    ;list of items
    group knight
    group archer
    group knight
    ;list of items
    group knight
     group archer
     group knight
    ;-------Mid drop -----
    ;list of items
     group knight
     group archer
     group knight
     ;list of items
    group knight
     group archer
     group knight
    ;-------Low drop -----
    ;list of items
     group knight
     group archer
     group knight
     ;list of items
    group knight
     group archer
     group knight
    ;----------------------------------------
    ; ItemGroups *
    ;-----------------------------------------
    ;-----high rates------
    ;item list
    group
    ;item list
    group
    ;--------mid rates-----
    ;item list
     group
     ;item list
     group
    ;-----low rates-------
    ;item list
     group
     ;item list
     group
thats the basic format ill go with but.. i might not need the high mid and low in the groups its easier to change rates by changeing the rates to get into the group i think. i tend to just set the groups up so there all as even as possible and lower the groups rate of being chosen
