I'm waiting to migrate the current project to Visual Studio 2008 and the C# 3.5 standards. It should get done later this week and progress can resume.

Recently, I've been (and still am) busy with school, work, family, and friends. I hope to have some more downtime in the next few weeks once Christmas break sets in although the latter two distractions will still remain. :)

ok but again why dont u guys get together on this and get it done faster so we can further enjoy DA like WE want it? i know that KRU doesnt give a fuck about the players of the game and i feel that if it gets done then maybe.... maybe we can all enjoy DA the way it used to be (FUN) and i do have the capricorn files if u want.. as well as the music

I can see where you are coming from, you want a unified game that is more player-centric and whatnot, I hear you loud and clear. However, the difficult part is putting that together, both from a coding standpoint and a personnel standpoint.

The latter is probably the most difficult. Think about it this way, all of us have lives and while sometimes it becomes easy to forget such a thing when looking at it in such a distant media (ie. forums) it does affect our progress. School (for those still attending), work, family, friends, and our own breaks and entertainment all distract us from our work. Each of us have our own ideas and methods of doing things and some do not agree to the extent that they can mix and match easily so for each person to contribute and work together we need to compromise and "smooth some edges" so to speak. Although it seems silly to say, we are trying to avoid a "Lord of the Flies" when it comes to team cohesion.

Another aspect is coding the server itself. We have to make lots of decisions, code-wise, how to handle certain things and how to do things to best way. Here again, each coder has their own methods and practices where it is difficult to say which is better sometimes.

All in all, progress is a complex thing to achieve and while you, the team, and myself all want this dream to become a fun reality, don't hold your breath. Just remember that the idea of this server and the motivation to do it has never died. :)

i see what u are saying SiLo.. although i dont fully agree.. i think it shoudl be what "WE" the community wants.. not the programmers.. i mean by that..... it should solely be based on what we want... as well as the programmers. Think of it this way. if games were made based on what programmers wanted we wouldnt have a Video Gaming Community or Video Games for that matter. i dont disagree with what you are saying but yeah... anyhow, i hope that it all works out for u SiLo. i as well as the fan base here wants you to succeed in making the server emulated.. but seeing as how Kru made DA free up until master and u cant arena they just may make DA free and the item shop costly.

You barely make sense mate. Most emulator/game programmers are gamers to you know, if they relied solely on the community you would have a pretty fucked up game.

Hey guys. I have gotten the server-listy-thingy working. Hopefully I can get the notification/message-of-the-day screen working with only a few minor modifications.

Heard that was one of the annoying parts to do.. At least, I couldn't figure out which packets was sending that info to the client.
Also, Saraet.. Did the F2P crap change anything major?
