Criticism is the best way to learn rapidly xD
Anyway, another tip I can give you, is to build the server as more configurable as you can... For example, in this case, you could simply do as i did in Torpeedo ages ago: insert the pulbicroom items in an external table (like normal guestrooms items), in wich you can modify position, height, rotation etc.. I made a little script to split the packet, and automatically insert every single furniture in the right place etc. In this way, you'll allow users to modify the publicrooms, and even insert different items etc (imagine an housekeeping script, in wich you can move dinamically items in the room, and then save the modifications). It's also nicer to see, instead of that non-understand-able string, that you'll need to modify often, because Habbo continuously changes the protocol etc... Remember, all the packets have a syntax you can identify, and reproduce in the server ;)

When you'll have to code catalogue or item interactions, then I'll have another pair of tips for you (the first, consists in copying ALL the Habbo catalogue, including pages and items, the second, will allow you to "understand" how many interactions has every item).

- Catalogue items work
- User inventory works
- Subtracts user's credit amount of how much credits it costs
- Updates credits
- FAQ is completed.
- Notice of "You have successfully brought, blah blah" :D
- Combo deals work (Lets say, 5 chairs, you then get 5 chairs)

I've also made the interaction type, example
1 = chair
2 = bed
3 = fridge
4 = light/dice interaction
5 = double bed
6 = double chair (HC lounge)
7 = Rollers (ehehe)
8 = Pet bowl
9 = Pet bed
10 = Pet accessories
