Computers do what they are told, they're logical. It's generally the developer who forgets to do such things.
Besides that, it means its dodgey coded and not being thinked off.

maritnmine I barley believe this. Don't you mean 3/4k? I do seem to remember a emulator counting users online, but sometimes it forgets to throw a -1 to the onlinecount if the user signed out. This had as effect 900 online according to the stats.... Fun thing is that I only had 300 users registered because database reset. And yes, the server_status was all resetted..
Please do not take this offensive or personnal.... I just can't believe 7k online - Probably because I have never seen a Habbo with 6/7K online, not even in brazil..
And no, that was the active connections the server had at that moment which I was looking at through the bfly heartbeat tool. If it had that bug, I would see the graph continuously increase and never decrease, which was not the case. The source is out there and you can confirm it if you want to. But if you chose not to believe me, sure, I am not forcing you to. I literary cannot be bothered.
Regarding what you are saying about the CPU usage, go learn how to use windbg. Please. Then we can talk about this. There is so much more going on under the hood during the runtime of the server. There is GC, allocation, deallocation, system calls, etc etc. And this scales totally differently from one user to several hundred sign-ins per minute. If the CPU usage was at 0.5% when one user would sign in, should you see it at 20% when 40 people sign in at the same time? No. It simply doesn't scale that way. If you wanna know why, learn windbg. I cannot be bothered trying to explain to you why. You should also consider making a stress test tool and sign on 9000 users simultaneously, which was what I did. Too bad I don't have the tool so I could release it though :/

I can testify and everyone knows I'm not one for spouting lies and deception that in fact Butterfly is capable of holding thousands of users. Zap Hotel held 2.7 thousand users online without any lag. The issue with Butterfly is when users like yourself pretend they can code and screw up a perfectly functional emulator. Idk what CPU you're talking about, you must be using a terrible edit, or horrible hardware. Butterfly runs perfectly, we've left it running at Zap for weeks without restarting it or touching it. Mind you this was vanilla Butterfly tweaked here and there.

I held 2,500 connected with Butterfly, no bug.

Pretend they can code, like me? ROFL. You are funny. Go buy another license please. You are one of the users who are using the codes we developers create. And you guys are still flaming our assess off. No wonder why nobody wants to release stuff. Why don't you go release a source? If you are so badass

looking at the/your reactions I agree then, so then it is very simple to say.. The source of Plus has got so many edits that it is completely messed up..
@ others
Also done discussing this b*llshit with the most of you guys. Can we keep it on subject now.

You don't know who I am clearly. I never bought any server license. For your information, I was the very person who leaked Butterfly Emulator full source a year or two ago (man idr when it was, time flies). Back then everyone was using Phoenix, nobody had any other source, other than Uber, I changed the atmosphere here at RaGEZONE, with 19,000+ views in only a day, and who knows how many downloads? I never bothered to check. I've also posted plenty of source codes never before released in the scene including Stockholm, which is by far the best Emulator in C# ever coded, sadly nobody uses it because nobody can even set it up.
What have you done to contribute? In 10 minutes, without writing any code, I did more for the scene than you've done since you registered.
Thanks,
Moogly

You mean you 'think' it is the best project. I can tell you that Butterfly isn't the best and Stockholm isn't aswell. The persons who can beat your codes are not going to release it., because you assh*les are flaming everybody's ass off. And yeah you contributed more. But that's because i'm not 24/7 behind my pc + w***ng all day on virtual HABBO charachters.
I'm not saying I can code better, but you can't say I can't code either... Because that is not up to you. I got my papers from school. and what do you have? A membership on RaGEZONE with 2K posts.
Get to know somebody first, before you are telling everybody that person can't code. People like you are currently contributing this forum a fall of memberships. Now get back on the subject of this thread, if you can't.. Then get out.

Maby shizzle some fail-over in our emulator.
Re: Aurora Emulator [based on Butterfly and Plus]
Post snippets to prove him wrong. Post before and your updated version and explain why you think it is better / improved compared to the old situation. Maybe this helps you to prove to them you know what you are doing so far.
A screenshot of some features you got working proves nothing.

Duno what you're on about, I'm on vacation, I work at my school. I help adults finish their programming homework for money, languages from Java to C, and C++ and rarely C#. I only have 2,000 posts because I don't post all day everyday, otherwise I'd be in the tens of thousands of posts.
I study programming for a degree, I get A's in all my programming classes with one exception and that was Java, where I got a B because I didn't do any homework, in Advanced Java I go an A though, also skipped some homework.
I've run the most popular hotel for years (Zap) with Butterfly, we've had thousands upon thousands of people coming and going, buying furni left and right, playing games, I've filled up event rooms with hundreds of people, not much lag other than graphics lag, people spamming left and right. You're critiquing things you don't understand. Again, I've done more for this scene in 5 minutes without writing any code than you ever will in your entire lifetime, even if you coded an entire server in ASM.
Thanks,
Moogly

Can't you start posting code snippets instead of talking about how "qualified" you are. Out from what you have posted so far, I wouldn't even say you have been to school to learn programming.

I do not really care about what you think. You can keep track of the new current project - www.ihabbo.nu . This development thread is done. I'm not going to release this anymore.

I respect the decision that you have made and I believe you're well within your rights to choose what you want and do not want to do with this emulator. But, the attitude that you have, I believe, is the wrong attitude. But, that is not what I'm here to argue about or discuss. I'm in absolutely no position what so ever, to judge you upon the attitude in which you have chosen to possess.
That being said, you mentioned that you 'do not care' about what others have to say. I'm not sure if you've noticed, but by closing this development and choosing not to release it, makes a much bolder statement and it becomes much clearer, that comments made by others, do affect you and you do care about what others have to say. However, that's just us being human, that's just in our nature, to be hurt, and to judge, even though we may say we don't feel it or do it.
However, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying it's great that you're developing an emulator and I'm not here to say, you should release it, in fact that's far from what I'm saying. I'm saying keep in mind, that by closing this thread, you're not accomplishing anything, you're are wasting not only other's time, but you're wasting your own time and effort.
You mentioned that you 'do not care', but instead, what's happened is, you've fallen into people's opinions and taken them to heart, and as a result, have closed a development. So, essentially, you've let others choose the end result, don't let that happen. Ever.
People will always flame, people will always hate and people will always insult other people. It's literally in our nature.
