IT'S FREE!
You should have a Command line interface instead of a GUI, Just saying that it will use ram that could be used for other things.
I think a command-line interface like IHI would work well, where you press a button like the enter key, and then you can enter commands like "/ha Test System Alert" and it would send a hotel alert from the emulator, if that makes sense? Also maybe you type things like "/edituser <username>" into the emulator command and a form comes up with the users information which you can edit, and once you press save if that user is online it forces a client reload for that user. Just a few ideas I had.
Updated GIT:
- Database classes.
- First Events / Responses.
You're a fucking idiot, you can't own a binary protocol which is what Sulake uses these days, hell a "emulator core" doesn't use any Sulake code or images which can be copyrighten. So explain how it is legally shady? If i write an emulator i own the code therefor i can distribute it how i want paid, free, etc...
It's legal if you are making it, and even distributing it, but not if you are profiting from it. You can't sell a product that is directly reliant on another without permission from the original creator. I understand where you're coming from, but that doesn't make it legal. It's a different story if you're releasing it free and open source though.
Oh and on a side note: the laws DO vary a lot across different countries with this sort of thing :/

The lock at the console writing would kill your performance. Avoid using locks :)
