100% CPU problems
So hey guys, I was doing a bit of reading on Gold Tree Emulator the past few days... and its apparently related to the whole phoenix emulator thing. They've always maxed out the CPU (requiring an emulator restart every day).
So today I was chillin in an AFK room, and working on other things, posting on Twitter... whatever...
And I notice my computer start to slow down extremely. (I have 8gigs of ram btw.. should be plenty for basic google chrome processes)... so I check task manager.. and MY fuckin CPU was maxed out at 100%... so I closed client... and it immediately went down to 1-5%....
So my question is...
is this related to gold tree emulator? Will the client cause people's CPU/RAM to max-out and lag their computer? I wasn't incredibly concerned about the emulator until I thought of this today...
Should I switch to mercury? r63b perhaps?
Any information is greatly appreciated!
Thanks guys,
Cody

Re: 100% CPU problems
It won't slow users playing on the client's computer, it'll just slow down the host machine that the emulator is on. So for instance, your computer if you're hosting or a VPS if it's running on that.
If the emulator was still running and the CPU was fine, but when you were on the client your CPU was high, then it might be a chrome CPU error. While in press Shift + ESC and check the google chrome task manager for anything using high CPU or RAM. It might show the client is. Google has some handy tips for reducing lag generated on chrome via Shockwave Flash

Re: 100% CPU problems
Ok cool! Thanks for the info dude!
I'm thinking I will definitely upgrade to a new emulator regardless - it's definitely time to let go of the old days of phoenix.
Speaking of which... anybody heard from Aaron lately? Hows that mofo doin? Did he end up going to court and/or paying that obscene lawsuit?
PS.
If you're on Xbox one - add me! Let's play some fuckin GTA bruh!
