Creating own CMS as a learning experiance project.

So, hey guys, I've decided to start working on a basic Content Managing System, and what i have done at the moment:

> A login with remember me and secure sessions, register, and activation email
> Connection to database and the Mysql is filtered to prevent SQL Injection


I dont really understand the basis of a CMS, like the functions, and the framework and how it all links in with a config file etc.

Can someone give me some tips for starting out?

How do you mean "how it all links in with a config file". Do you mean how the configuration file and how the values are used?
