    Editing V5 DCRs

As a small nostalgia-inducing project, I've set up a V5 hotel using Snake's tutorial. Being the never satisfied lemon meringue I am, I've been trying to edit the V5 dcrs to no avail. I've so far come to the conclusion that it's to do with the scripts in the .cct files not being carried over when converted to .ctr by recover-cct and as a result, any edited .cct file is around 4kb lighter and crashes the server (I assume because the script files are gone). Does anyone know how I could recover the scripts or somehow circumnavigate this issue or is it a long shot? I was thinking maybe creating a script in the edited .cct that loads the scripts in the original (renamed) file? I'm not clued up at all on Lingo though, so I could be completely wrong.

I think scripts are the key to making everything work, they are there but can not be seen because the director protects them, I think the only solution to obtain them is to do reverse engineering, I do not understand much of this but I think it's the right thing to do...

Maybe you need some programs for Reverse Engineering like those who say in this video

Reversing Macromedia Shockwave is no easy task. Mike and Dom (office.boy & Myrax/Macklebee) got pretty far with reversing the DCR/CCT file format, to the point they were able to pull out pieces of script, but I don't think even their decompiler is overly functional.

http://forum.ragezone.com/f331/atom-...4/index44.html Igor Lira (lab-hotel) also, pity that in facebook he no longer answers me, you have to know of programming I imagine to do it but it would have to be possible some program to extract it

Yeah, Igor's a real wiz with the Shockwave formats, it's really impressive. It's a shame he never released his work, it'd probably allow for a lot of new development for the pre-Flash era.

Yes, was a shame :/ ... I hope soon in my future project with a friend can do this for a retro v26, for many reasons I think Shockwave is better than flash and as a user who knew habbo in 2009 for my fortune with everything I had before like snowstorm, battleball, aquachof... I would like a project like the lab-hotel but I do not think I can help with programming...
