Hi everyone, firstly I am using PlusEMU and RevCMS.
I've noticed a rather strange habit when I do anything to my habbo.swf file. Whenever I rename and name-back, move, or try to use a different habbo.swf and then switch back to the original - I run in to a problem where I am stuck on the 78% screen for literal (eight, to be specific) hours for no reason what so ever.
I noticed this when trying to fix a corrupted habbo.swf file. I renamed said habbo.swf to "habbo.swf.bak" just so that it wasn't used. I attempted to use another habbo.swf which failed, so I deleted it, and renamed "habbo.swf.bak" back to "habbo.swf" -- but then I am stuck at 78% until my VPS just "decides" that the habbo.swf is fine to use.
I am perpetually stuck at 78% for several hours until a random amount of time has passed it seems. I arrive at this screen after around about two minutes has passed trying to connect to the client:
I've tried clearing my cache, closing browser, restarting the server, my local machine, MySQL and PHP services, etc.Code:Redirects to: http://hotelname.domain/swf/gordon/swfs You do not have permission to view this directory or page.
The reason I say that this randomly fixes itself is because I have tested it across different machines, different browsers, and I've even tried to completely upgrade/downgrade a habbo version just to get it to work.. however when I reverted it all and went to bed in a huff, it fixed itself mysteriously whilst I was asleep... And now when I have tried to change the habbo.swf again, I have run in to this wall and I assume it will probably do the same.
Interestingly, I have tried to load in over RDP to my server, and it all works fine!?
Does anybody know why this happens, or what I could do to force the changes? The only thing I can think of is that the resources "updates" are taking a while to propagate out from my server to external clients... but why it would do that is beyond me, as most other changes are instantaneous (aside from CSS updates etc). Maybe I'm just a moron though!
Any interesting opinions on why this happens would be welcome below! And also any "fixes" that people know for this kind of problem, too.
Thanks all.
