Hotel only works local

Okay so how can i fix it so that people in public can enter my hotel, if the config files and swf config are set to "localhost" it allows the connection from the local VPS and takes the connection through the emulator and the client also loads up fine. However, if i change the configs to the link of the hotel for public use the emulator takes the connection but when the client reaches around 70% it just goes black and then disconnects after a few minutes.

I was thinking this would be something to do with the firewall? I also allowed the port via the windows firewall but still no luck.

Yes, you need firewall disabled in order for a inbound connection. This also could be the router firewall, not just the windows one. Make sure the IP is not just the webserver and it is the IP of your emulator.

EDIT -
Also make sure that the external_variables.txt has been changed so that the links in it are not pointing to your localhost. If there prehosted then they should be fine.

I've disabled the windows firewall entirely and the external_variables also have the correct links, still trying to figure out what's wrong, not sure if it's a problem with my firewall or anything else that it could possibly be?

Note: the client also stops at 75% and then goes to a black screen
