Looking for a legit IIS tutorial?

I'm looking for a legit tutorial on setting up a r63b hotel, using IIS.
I've looked at numerous tutorials and comments saying they've had problems ect.

    Please, someone help me out?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AEkk9z_V88

This taught me, IIS is easier than I thought..

Even know this says making r63 on vps it uses the same steps to make any hotel.

I just do it like this.
    - Install Web Platform Installer(http://www.microsoft.com/web/downloads/platform.aspx)
    - Search for PHP( I get 5.something can't remember) and add it.
    - Search for MySQL(I use 5.5) and add it.
    - IIS Recommended Configuration then add it.
    - URL Rewrite then add it.

Then you it will prompt you for MySQL password just let it install, then download navicat and you're done.
Haven't got time to do a big fancy tutorial but I've done this countless times and it works.

That installs it all for you? "IIS Recommended Configuration" installs IIS, MySQL 5.1 installs MySQL? It's not pointless? It does the job, I have done this atleast a few hundred times over the past few years. It's just a simple way to install it all when downloading one program..

It's not confusing if he can't download web platform installer and install PHP, MySQL, IIS recommended config, URL Rewrite then enter MySQL password there is no point of opening a retro.

Actually there is a point opening a retro for him, I was always told not too open one when I was once a noob, I remember my first time and I didn't even know what xampp or IIS was, But he has too learn that's what I did, I am sick
of people saying not too, it really Does Not Help to say theres no point when thats whats prevents you from learning.

PM me if you don't mind helping me out and kind of mentoring me, thanks in advance.

Re: Looking for a legit IIS tutorial?

    Step One :
    Install MySQL on your VPS

    - You should see a similar screen.

    - Click on "Install MySQL Products". Follow the steps until you reach this screen:

    - Choose "Server Only" and Click "Next >"
    - Then click "Execute" and wait for it to execute.

-Eventually you will reach this page, enter a Root Account Password and click "Next >"
    (REMEMBER THIS PASSWORD)

    - Next, go to "Server Manager" on your VPS.

    - On the window, select "Add Roles" as demonstrated below.

    - Check the box next to "IIS" and click Next:

    - On the following screen, make sure the following are checked/ticked:

    • Application Development (All children nodes under this too)
    • Static Content Compression (Under Performance)
    • IIS Management Console, IIS Management Scripts and Tools and Management Service (All under Management Tools)

    - Click "Install" and wait for it to install. If it asks to restart the VPS, do so.
    Step Two:
    Download Microsoft Web Platform Installer:
    Download the Microsoft Web Platform
    - Search for "PHP 5" in the search box. Choose any PHP 5.x

    - Search for "IIS Recommended Configuration"

    - Next download "URL Rewrite 2.0" . This will be already installed for a lot of you.

    Step Three:
Go to http://localhost , you should see a screen similar to below.

Instead of grabbing the whole tutorial from another thread on the forum, why don't you just post the thread link...
