I always had the web.config etc everything correct,
not sure what the error is?

Thats a PHP error. Try finding out what causes it.

I just took out the old cms and put a new one in and it worked, lol.

You've got an error in your webserver config. Usually there sould be some more information within the System Log as said on the Error 500 Page, telling you where the error is exactly.

If you put a new cms into it then try editing something i'm sure it will go back to a white page. So, i replied to Diddy8000's thread which he had the same issue read my post.
