    [PlusR2] Tdid's version black screen

    Hey,

PlusR2 works fine, everything fine. I used tdid's version and it worked fine as well on localhost, so I took my servers DB back up and made that work on localhost as well, how ever, for some reason it doesn't work on my actual retro server. It simply loads a black screen shows that you're online on the CMS and top bar of the emulator, but it never says in the actual emulator line code that you made it online. It shows just as a black screen and nothing more. No errors, no nothing. Like I said, exact same thing works on localhost (Same DB, swfs, emulator build etc etc..) but not on my server. Any ideas?

    Ideas?
    Cheers.

    ---- UPDATE ----

So it works fine on my localhost when using links for my swfs from my server, how ever it doesn't actually work on my server. It has to be the emulator it's self. I've searched for anything related to localhost or 127.0.0.1 and nothing stops it from connecting on a normal server. Any ideas?

Probably banner, external_variables, firewall or some other misconfiguration.

Works fine with PlusR2, just when I switch to your edit it doesn't work. Nothing changed except that

I converted mine to work. It all works fine on localhost, and when I use it on another server, but does not work on my retro server what so ever.

You need to change more for it to work. BOTS table, furniture table, items table, user table as well.

Yeah they're fine. Like I said, the exact same setup works on localhost, not my server how ever. Weird.

This happened to me as well with the original version. Which OS are you using? I switched to a server with Windows 2012 r2 and it works really smooth :-)

We tried everything for about 5 days. We got it working at one point, but then installed your catalogue then it stopped working again and wouldn't work at at all! We were stumped on it and wasted a lot of time.. Where is your server located? I'm guessing it's a matter of either server location or operating system.

PM me if you would like a recommendation for a server host that should work perfectly and is decently priced. (It's not mine and I'm not affiliated.)

    BTW -
Do you have a link to his edit? Is it better than other edits and if so, why?

Thinking about the OS now, that could be a reason. How ever I haven't found anything to stop it running on Windows 2008 which is what my server uses. I use XZ and I most likely always will. He posted his edit in the fixes thread, I recommend searching IAmAwesome, he left a few easter eggs in it ;)

Hm. I can't find anything not allowing it to work on it. What host would you recommend? Out of curiosity
