RevCMS 404 not found Pic + code

Hey guys,

I am trying to setup RevCMS 1.9.9.9 on a local machine using XAMPP. I did this successfully many years ago but can't seem to get it working. I am familiar with the setup process and have followed tutorials to make sure I am not missing anything, but so far have not been able to get anything working.

My DB is connected fine, no errors in any error log anywhere, httpd.conf and php.ini are fine. I was wondering if it could be because the versions (specified in the error below) I am using for either PHP or XAMPP causing compatibility issues for the code?

I have done the obvious, checking for errors, checking connections, restarting Apache and MySQL, reading through the code and such but I am really confused here.

Edit:

Tried using an old version of XAMPP and still not working. I am just getting the generic 404 not found error still.

Edit: found the problem, my Mac didn't like the htaccess file, hopefully my stupidity helps someone in the future.
