On the server with the cms, change the ip in your client file to the ip of the server with the emulator on it.
On the server with the emulator, open the port your emulator uses in the firewall for your cms server.
If your database is on the emu server, open the port for mysql (3306 by default) in the firewall for your cms server. Create a new mysql user and give it the privileges it needs and use that for the mysql connection in your cms. (It is easier to create a new user than to allow external connections for the root user).
when I open emu says I can not connect to the database. Instead cms on vps where I have the db I want to. help me please
