Wouldn't it depend on the "type" of VPS? ie: Like a Business-type VPS or a Budget VPS?
Would you expect a business type VPS to work more flawlessly than a budget one?
Also about what Prizm's said, when the VPS did restart, it could have been maintenance on that node?

With the company I was recently with (habbo-owned), they always sent me an email when there would be VPS downtime / restarts if they were configuring something.

From the reviews I've read, the company is pretty good. I'll have another check to see if that was for dedi's tho, and see if I can get some VPS reviews about Hostkey.

It's Russia. The routing is terrible, the electricity isn't exactly reliable. By all means if you want to gamble your money, try them. But I would go with a known professional host (that's why I recommended VPS.NET).

I understand. To be honest, I've heard about VPS.net before, and even looked at some of their reviews. I found some bad ones. Personally, VPS.net looks a bit expensive for my liking.

I know you've mentioned some before, but do you happen to know any other VPS companies that you would recommend? You seem to know your stuff ;)

Got one more quick question;
I am thinking of buying 2 IP's with the VPS. The question is, if someone were to Ddos one of the IP's, would the site still stay online if it were running off the OTHER IP address? ie: one IP runs through Cloudflare, and the other doesn't?

Or, if one of the IP's was being Ddossed, would the whole site go down? (even if the other IP was used as a backup)?

You can be assigned a million IP addresses for all it matters, if the attack is greater then your 100mbps Nic then you're going to go down along with every single IP on that adapter.

I heavily dislike HostKey, the downtime wasn't what I expected or what I was lead on to believe. I was made to believe that there was hardly ever downtime.. I was wrong.

Try checking out; Static Servers: You know you want us, their decent.

But in regards to your question, 1-2GB RAM would be fine to run a hotel with under 100.

Also, stay away from their NL dedicated servers, i had this for a month and everytime a ddos attack was hitting one server all went down.

Their support was also really bad.

I'm 16 and running with the main owner whom is 19..

But yeah, the company you stated aren't bad at all!

Are you stating not to use NL servers at all? Or just not from hostkey? How do NL servers hold up?

Preferably I get my Virtual Private Server's from Santrex.net, they are a good, reliable and offshore company.

I recommend to not use from HostKey, if i would need a NL server i would go for TransIP or LeaseWeb.

Would you recommend using a NL server though? ie: Are Netherland servers usually reliable, fast, good speeds etc?
