V81 DARKROSE SERVER PORTABLE EZ-TO-USE NOOBFRIENDLY

Last update:2010 10 22 - its the post's update, not the server's

Okay, so i uploaded a rar file witch contains EVERYTHING in order to play with
this game, the new cilent and server can be downloaded from here:

If the megaupload link says "this file is temporarely unavaliable" then try again 1
or 2 hours tops... that means the server is too busy or someone else is downloading
the file besides you.

OKAY so lets play this from ther beginning a short "howto" maybe thet way be
more easyer, in this way...

FOR WIN7/VISTA USERS! YOU WILL NEED ADMINISTRATION
RIGHTS TO RUN THIS GAME WITH THIS GUIDE, AND WHEN I WRITE
IN THE GUIDE TO START SOMETHING, DO THAT WITH ADMIN
RIGHTS!

Installing method:

0. Preparing: Install .net framework 3.5 if you dont have already(THIS STEP IS
INEVITABLE!!!) stop all instance of apache or mysql if you have any(if u do not
know if you have it or not then i can NOT help with that and i wont...) and stop
skype if there is any on the machine

1. Download this package, and extract it somwhere on your winchester.

2. copy the folder named: "Portable_Rose_server_V81_Client_243_requied"
anywhere on your HDD

3.Install the client from the package what you have
extracted(CLIENT\RoseOnline243.exe )
Note: After the install, DO NOT LET THE CLIENT UPDATE ITSELF!

4.go to your server directory("Portable_Rose_server_V81_Client_243_requied\Client and
Tools" ) and there you will find the files named: "client_launcher.zip"
" and GameGuard-Patch.zip"
extract all files from within those zip files into "C:\Program Files\
Triggersoft\ROSE Online Evolution\" Directory overwrite everything if asked!

5. Run triggerdetect.exe from the game and setup your cilent's graphics settings
YOU HAVE TO DO THIS, IF U DONT THEN THE GAME WILL CRASH!

6. Run the server, in order to do that, there will be 4 little step.
6.1: go to the folder named "Portable_Rose_server_V81_Client_243_requied"
what u have already extracted somewhere, and run the file named: mowes.exe
Wait til' the program says: Apache and mysql is running with green texts.
6.1.1 - Optional part: At this point you can decide:
you can set up your server with the "Rose Server Programmer.exe"
witch is a server restarter, or continue with the step 6.2,
if not then jump to Section seven.

6.2: If you not useing the restarter, then start the rest 3 files in the server's directory,
in the following order:

1-LoginServer.exe, 2-CharServer.exe, 3-WorldServer.exe

7. Optional, and a "bit" :P requied part: Now your ready to make a casual player
account, at http://localhost/ in the register section, OR you can use the pre-maded
admin account,

Login Name:admin
Password:admin

it has a character named Peter, delete it, if u want.

In the server window there will be a bunch of Warning messages, with problem of the monsters number, and respawn points, IGNORE it. The server WILL work. ;)

8. Start the game with the Rose Launcher.exe file, then click on Play Rose online
and login into your server with your maded account, in section 7.

9.Play.

OH AND I AM ASKING POLITELY PLEASE READ BEFORE POST ANY QUESTION!!!!

REFER: Troubleshooting.rtf its in the package too.

the problems 90%-s are coming from that tipical problem that is the fact: you dont
take the time to read anything. Kids! This is NOT a simple thing, if u want an own
private server YOU have to do it something for that!! You will need some basic
knowledge about server technology...

Note: This server MAYBE wont work on vista... (at least the apache.exe) on win7 its fine and everything is works... that is not supported on vista, but you can still use the server with mysql and the server itself, but you will need a mysql query program for create a new account, or you can use the admin account. the web page side won't work...


Oh and of course feel free to ask any help, i will help if i can! (if u cannot find the answer in the tutorial... or in the package documents)

If someone know a newer db+Client version, please post the DB and server's link, and i'll update this portable server!

Yo Flyer8472 nice release.....i m trying out now....and i know y u cant use skype and the mysql together is because the port that the both application is using is the same. If i m not mistaken it is port 90...change the port of the skype and there will be no error

can i ask why you are using my client download link in your guide ? that client is edited for my rose server. if no respons i will log into my megaupload account and change the url.

nice release man i try it out but this gonna be my first server so :P and need some help xD whit running a web site




i try it but when i try to login it give me id or pass wont axcist but i dont wanna make a webside so how can i fix it ?

yea i know it, the default logins are:
Name: | Pass:
Administrator | Password <--- Not "admin" like wroted in the how to txt, sorry...
Moderator | Password
Player | Password

AND you can acess to the Db's through in the WEB phpmyadmin interface, it is after you start the server is: http://localhost/phpmyadmin, and sorry, the WEB server is main part of this relase, you have to dismental if U dont need it...

uhhm when i try this server files i cant connect to the char server it says server is under maintance how i fix that ?

Read the text file! (Rose_Troubleshooting.txt) In fact you have everything in the server relase what might you will need.

fourthth point:
4.) When I try to login, I get "The Servers are currently undergoing maintenance"
Solution: Make sure your using the latest Rose EVO client and server files, and your ports or forwarded and that you have applied the GameGuard patch (new at 4/28/07) after your last client update.

(in this case you just need the 243 client, and dont update it... and copy the game guard patch to your client dir, you find all things in your server "Admin and Client tools\Client tools\ folder, there is 2 zip, EXTRACT them in to the game client root folder) and Read all things in the Rose_troubleshooting.txt!!!!!

AND: You started all things? i mean, with the autorun, i was NEVER have this problem, you have to start the mowes.exe, after that(after the apache and the mysql give to you a GREEN status) start the Char,Login, and World Server EXE files, but just start with the autorun(that has Blue circle shaped icon) and start with that the server.... in other words: If i unpack it, and start i dont have that kind of problem :S try the trobleshooter guide too...

You can use an updated client, just update the .sql and .csv files from the STB files...
