    cool Evo Sever [Dev revison 4]

    So gonna quit working on rose for a while....have been a here and there dev mostly at Furia....Anyway learned a lot at dev-osrose and RageZone..so releasing my dev 4 work..(essentially mine Credits to Meydan my Co-dev on this source).

    Item mall working, Mounts work, Lucky Spin, most all features work..if you want a high rate server you will have to work on the battle formulas,

    Anywaise Rose development kind of lacking..everyone just wants to make a server that's ready right out of the box...

    All the dev's that shared there work are gone, save 3 or 4 who still maintain these forums,
    So if you make any developments try to share your work, It is based on the work of others who shared theirs.


    That said here are some links: recompiled my FatPack Tool compilation ....so you don't have to dive thru hundreds of Necro posts to find good dev tools..put in a few more goodies!

    Here is the server includes blank mysql and also a blank navicat db back up, probably have to change the IP
    on the config files don't think they are set at 127.0.0.1, might have opened them to my old IP for testing. So here:

    And lastly a treat for guys that really want to customize their client, map editing toolz, prolly piss off someone somewhere giving this stoof out...some guys hoard and charge$ to share...but since Rose is like at it's decline and these guys have moved on to other things...here we go:

    Ok so first...guys try and edit your clients and don't throw up roseNa clones...

    Item mall: Works like this..if you use the ItemMall V2 php module in Dynasty CMS...you can have a website mall that delivers strait to the same Mall tab on the in-game ItemMall. Now the In-game ItemMall is controled from the Navicat database table..there you can change the Mall Items..at Dev-OsRose in OsRose forum you can find an ItemMall manager .exe that makes adding items tons easier. Some one did a super job making one! I might have included it in the DEVtool fatpak but I can't remember.

    Mounts: Mounts are loaded strait from the LIST_MOUNT.STB and not the database base table..so just ignore that table...if you want a greater variety of mount they have to be added to the stbs.

    Lucky Spin: These items added in the database table...CAUTION.!!..There are 12 spaces in the Spin if you leave any blank in the database table...then if in-game it appears blank and a player spins and it lands on the blank space...it will cause a sigserv crash...the server can't compute the blank space and closes. So make sure all those spaces are full.

    Costume: This tab works great, but no code has been added to cross reference stbs for attribute stats on items...so it is essentially a fashion tab..no wear has stats even if the item has stats on it. When the server builds item there are no stats..if you want additional stats from fashions or what not you will have to code this into the server source.

    Quest timer: Since we don't know the new date for the time established by roseNa during this release the quest timer is just guess work...I have made an edit that creates the proper time when quest taken but there is glitch..when a mob is killed the timer decreases by 10s so that could stand for some improvement. As it is it works and is functional..if you don't stare at it lol you don't really notice.

    NPC's and QUESTS: Most Npc's are working and active and so are most Quests. Game Arena and Coin Trader still non-Operational and the Quests associated to Game Arena and Coin Traders are the only ones Non Op.

    Game Arena: Non-Operational, never was interested in this feature..Had every intention of re-adding Union and Clan Wars so didn't bother working on this feature. Was going to edit the UI and totally remove the GA button on in-game screen UI. Suggest this if you don't know how to code or fix Game Arena yourself...will save you a lot of un-neccessary player questions and complaints. If you want you can easily add new Quests to the Coin Traders ...simply reuse them for something else.

    PVP: The damage formula in this battle.cpp was made by Co-Dev Meydan....still has some short comings, was thinking about transplanting or rather replacing the damage formula's with PY's formula's in his KT-rose release. Modify them to work in this revision...seems to have a lot of nice variables not used or implemented in most existing formulas.

    BUGS & GLITCHES: Most have been fixed, there may still be a few we didn't work on or weren't aware of we lacked dedicated BUG hunters.

    Now how to make server Crackerz?!!? Well read the forum for guides..Personally I use Navicat ( I know PY prefers PHPAdmin which I have also tried (if you use PHPAdmin you will have load the .mysql table files one by one since a complete .mysql file is too large for the PHPAdmin manager to load at once, or try to load it two-three times in a row on risk of corruption) but Navicat has a free Lite version which easily handles the server needs. As for a Server-Stack ..I don't use Wammp or Xammp the server host complained about both...so I use either App-Serv or Ammps, have had not complaints while using AppServ.
    So just so you know...what guides suggest to use, you are not restricted to having to use them only. Use what meets your needs.

    Again enjoy and please, please, please...try to make your Client Unique...don't totally rip-off rose Na ...and act like you accomplished something, Cheers!

    OOPS if your having issues with character creation then going into world, my fault when I removed old accts forgot to set the auto-increment in options here is a revised database with 1st acct and char added,
    So these attached files are a mysql and navicat backup files.

    Hey bro i cant get the server (Online).When i connect with the client it says the realm is offline.

    look at your config files for world and char server make sure ip is set at 127.0.0.1...
    I know my last release was kind of crappy and hard to get working but i double checked this one and it works fine...make sure your config files are set at 127.0.0.1 I know for a fact that the char server and world server are configured for my external ip.... simply forgot to set those to 127.0.0.1
    going to be away for a week or two so there won't be much support from me until I return.

    AnimalCrackerz, Did you fix the bugs : Ghost Mobs? and the mobs that doesnt show on everyones screen if they are attacked ones?

    Haven't experienced that issue, If there is an issue then the mobs need to be added to the IFO.. to stop ghosting.

    Did you manage to get the quest timers working?
    That was my biggest headache when I was working on the original DR4

    When i am ingame my client freeze after sometime, this happends to all players.

    ghost mob only for captain mobs.
    for example aqua captain at anima. is that fixed?

    and stun working? just asking

    i want to try this when i have time :p

    Have some serious bugs, played with some friends, spawned a mob, then I died while my friend was attacking the mob near me and I couldn't see him and the mob, but I could hear the sounds of my friend hitting the mob, very strange, other thing when players run they run very very slow, but in their client its fine.

    Anyway moving to a new house today and this following week..so won't be any help for a week or two...as for spawning a mob was it specific to a certain mob or each mob ...as for visible we ran into a few issues with players positions being different or moving slower ...seems to a be a processing issue as to the fact that the other clients are fine. We'll anyway this is the work my friends and I were able to get working...still needs work.....so share your fixes

    How to remove the GA button on in-game screen UI ? you dont have to actually remove it unless you want to...but simply in the xml edit its function you can remove its function there

    And as for quest timers yes timed quests work but there is a bug i can't get out...when the timer begins it is close or almost correct...but when you hit a mob the time decreases by 10s...PY I believe it reads every tick on the server even when 10 or more lines of code for quest condition on mob comes up. I think these 10 lines are the interval thats changing when its reading server time when a mob is killed with a quest creating the 10sec deduction in overall remaining time. Like I said before this is what my friends and I could get working and we ended our project...for one reason or another so here's our source and most of it works pretty great...but yes there are some bugs still......so if you can please share your fixes...thats what these dev forums are all about ... working together to create a working server source....thnks
