    Computer specs

    lets say, my computer was a P4 3.02 and had 1 gb Ram but i had an unlimited bandwith, and my internet was super fast. how many people can i host with just the computer spec i have?

    LOL thats an utopia, every one wants Unlimited Bandwidth

    in the hypothetical case you get that much BW you would still be capped by the
    system specs to like 500 users or so (but thats just me guessing)

    Let's look at it this way...

    The HSClan server uses Dual Xeon 2.8GHz, (2) 73GB SCSI Hard Drives, 2GB RAM, and a 100Mbit connection. When I first registered, they would have ~800 people online. Now, they have about ~1100 and the server is stable... for a while anyways... right now they're having problems with the item server but I'm sure it has nothing to do with the load of large amounts of people.
