did someone try to run L2 cilent with server running on same computer?

I try to do that.........

but my NPC always crash......

dont know why.....the game are running pretty fast.......

but NPC server just got crash....


I use Win2003 Enterprise... P4 -3.2GHZ 1024 MB of RAM......

and I put the vitural memory to 4096 MB min-MAX on 3 Harddrive..

and my boot.ini had put down..

I can run both at once using pretty much the same system, however I'm running WinXp Pro.

remove some npcs from the npcpos.txt file, worked like a charm for me, i removed mobs from areas i dont goto like elven village/talking island/giant cave/ivory tower ect..
and it runs fine like that even on my lower system specs are

amd athlon xp2500 1.84ghz cpu
768 mb ram
40gig hdd
geforce fx5200 128mb gfx

siege runs smooth as hell also with server + client on 1 pc

i play client in my pc and npc dont crash.. so i dont know whats wrong with u, i have win xp home p4 2.4 1gb ram dual channel

Dont know why....the npc server turn it off by it self ..........

I think I did something wrong with the boot.ini.......

I just add /15gb ....and I guess that is now working at all...

you can only add /3GB to boot.ini file, not /15GB..... and not /4GB i thought u misstyped the /4GB but then i saw the /15gb LOL

It allocates 3 Gigabytes of Memory on your harddrive to virtual space I believe, or something similar? someone please correct me if im wrong..

I got 2 512 RAM + 1 256 RAM .......

but dont know why the NPC still cant load more than 200...... weird...

I dont think /3GB is making your memory more.. seem the same without /3GB when I run the server with game........

all npc I can load up saftly is around 200

My current L2 server has the CacheD, AuthD, L2Server, and NPCServer, MSSQL, and a tiny webserver (Abyss) all on one machine with all npc loaded.
