You should buy whoisguard for your domain, it would probably be useful since you are doing exactly what Aaron has just had his house raided for.

I was pretty stupid by signing up for beta tester as useless because eventually you'll need to pay for an emulator package anyway therefore it's useless and don't bother signing up.

    @Dysfunctional

I'm not complaining and I'm indeed not being forced to buy anything off him that's a good point you made but i just don't see the point of paying so much for an edited emulator that have clearly been cracked before so i don't really see the point do you?

I guess that makes it wise to publicise your address then.

    Wow. $250, huh?

    Some people never learn.

I guess if your goal in life is to profiteer off someone elses hard work and IP you may aswell pay out the arse for a shitty amateur server too. God forbid you have to learn to code and contribute to an open source project or something.

He attributed them. And he also paid good money for Uber, unlike Leon who is taking the source for an edit of an edit of a leak of a proprietary emulator, slapping his name on it and charging $250 for it.

And MDKs work is based on JoeHs and DeK later came along and slapped his name on that server before it made the rounds too. What's your point? Doesn't make it right.

For a little background, MDK was also selling his v1 server for a little while, source included, as a VB FUSElight server, we had it to test our testbench based client on.

I've clearly learned a value lesson here

Some people are idiotic enough to at least try to talk you over to still buy something that's totally not worth it: For example Johno. saying: No what you're saying is totally wrong, the emulator is worth every penny and you should really try it rather then complaining about it all the time.

No I'm still not convinced enough to guy buy it because the title will always remain the same that it's just an edit with some small fixes and what not and for the rest is the price tag over the top and utterly stupid.

What really strikes me is at the height of MMOCC development, barring art, you could have gotten an okay server and client (no art included) for $300ish back in the MMOCCForum days. Now people are willing to pay that, on a habbo emulator.

    The mind really boggles.

Deflecting critics as less talented is a cheap way to dismiss someone. Anyone can hold and give an opinion on something. Do you have to be a painter to have an opinion on a painting? A carpenter to have an opinion on furniture?

Come on buddy, you were once one of the leaders in open source habbo projects, don't turn into one of the losers.

Come on. If you don't want immaturity, don't sell a habbo emulator... does this look to you to be a community bursting with adults? I'm not saying they bring anything to the thread but does this really contribute anything...? It's just another commercial bastardisation of Sulakes work.

Stuff like this as a whole is why the internet is being cracked down on, there's a difference between freedom of information and piracy and even a little cryptoanarchy or hell even making personal choices and disobeying laws (such as drug laws) and what's going on here and in many other communities - and it's not just limited to private servers, selling stolen game keys and accounts, selling user uploaded and scene pirated materials on the street or even in online shops, selling invites to private torrent sites... people shouldn't have such a "if it's there i'll make money from it with no question of legality or morals" attitude.

Although I've been in and out of this community for a while now, last time i was here Leon had just released the BCStorm source, this seems to be a total U turn!

So it seems, although at the moment it just seems to be a bunch of kids releasing everyone elses work to get some sort of e-rep.
Where has the community spirit gone :(
