Well for your first question: First download or buy photoshop because that works best, at least for me. And for question two well i don't got an answer that, just get some one to make cct's for you Etc.

You make an alt from photoshop (Design your furni)
Open up a CCT with Director MX (Software)
If its a small custom you open up hh_furni_xx_bunny
Paste your designed furni on top of the bunny, save as shockwave CCT, add to your hof_furni. Pretty easy for a basic piece of furni...
