    information [HTML5 GAME] Cabbo Race

    Dear members,
    today I am going to release my game Cabbo Race.

    Features:
    • Drive a car with the look of your account of any Retro Hotel
    • Collect coins
    • Crash into stones (explosion effect)
    • Levels (easy to add own levels if you know Javascript)
    • Hearths
    • Share your result on Facebook

    How to integrate:

    1. Go to the folder of your CMS and create a new folder in it with the name "cabbo_racing" (don't use a different name, we are going to edit it later).
    2. Put all files of the RAR-file into the new folder.
    3. Go to the 2nd line and edit the path of the core file (the path depends on what CMS you use).
    4. Go to the 14th line and edit the code. You have to write the code which puts out the look of the user (the code depends on what CMS you use).
    5. (OPTIONAL) Now you can edit the folder name but be sure that you edit all paths in all files too.
    6. (OPTIONAL) Now you can translate the whole game which is written in german language into your language.

    Cool. Should add in an RCON message to your Arcturus server to post your score and then set it to the hotel points. Then you can enable the hall of fame and see who scored the most points!

    Writing code in a language that isn't english is a bad practice.

    Thanks for your praise and your suggestion. I thought about creating a highscore and a win too but then I saw how cheaters would change their scores and so I haven't did that. I would have to code a serverbased game and had no idea how to do that without lags in the game.

    If you are able to verify the score on the serverside then it wouldn't matter. And you could easily filter out cheaters I think? I mean if someone gets 100k points within 10 seconds then yeah thats cheating.

    This doesn't look that bad. One thing I have noticed though is on the first screen of the game, the URL says cabbo.eu instead of cabbo.so. Not sure if it is supposed to be like that so I thought I would mention it.

    That's because unfortunately the domain .eu became unavailable and SheeX which made the graphics is no longer in the cabbo team so I have to use the old graphics. On the right screen you don't see a graphic but a HTML page. Because of that I was only able to put in the new domain on the game over page.

    Unless you implement this into the client, I don't see this assisting in any way user count wise when wanting people to participate in-game. This would only make more people want to play something outside of the client, if it's not implemented.

    That's right. In my retro hotel the game is playable in the client. You can implement it as a iFrame. But everyone has to choose for himself if he uses the game as a CMS feature or as a client feature.

    You can use it in the client if you want. However, communicating with the emulator would require modifications that will be different for every cms and emulator.
