I'm sure he won't be bothered. If he releases the source it is expected that it will get updated by people.
Re: Phoenix 3.11.0 Release
Everyone had better use a crack now, people have paid, and now it's free GG...
Re: Phoenix 3.11.0 Release
Exactly they RAN it, some of them have a better emu now in my opinion(Zap), PhoenixEmu just has a lot of hype.

Why does it matter? If he release the source, I am sure Aaron would love to see it go somewhere...
Re: Phoenix 3.11.0 Release
In my opinion, this is fantastic. Aaron said he might release the source.
Now, Aaron can work on 4.0
Re: Phoenix 3.11.0 Release
I wonder what is going to happen to 4.0 because most people won't buy there license back... If something like this happens the trust in it will be gone. Unless an 4.0 license will be cheaper and it won't say 10 years of free updates, phoenix will never be selling good again.

Oh wow I can have 500 users for a week with no restart, ahem look how stability is hacked into Butterfly!!!!!!! until you see the code and know what it means you can never judge how stable something is.
Hope lord sojobo opens teh ole phoenix up so we can see how great it is! Aaron will finally beable to prove everyone wrong who talks shit about his code. People may disagree with the way he programs but aye everyones different.

Slap yourself to.... People will always buy something that is easy to setup. It takes seconds to setup and they don't have to do any work. 3.0 was still selling until the forum got messed. People will always buy phoenix until aaron takes it off the market. Which he has released 3.0 free.

If he does and it really is a nice clean, stable source I will have been proved wrong. I have mixed opinions about Aaron now, I hated that he sold something meant to emulate illegal SWF Files, but now its freeish I don't really have many grudges.

He can't set rules if he releases the source. If someone wants to make a mess of it they can.
Re: Phoenix 3.11.0 Release
He faild big time with this. What will happend next? That we have to pay again and same shit will happend?
I had a licens and now iam not an Phoenix supporter anymore!
Why should i pay for others to use? It's not mutch money at all but it's the principal that counts!
Re: Phoenix 3.11.0 Release
We've always had the idea of Phoenix 3.0 becoming open-source, but not having control over what users do with it was a downside.
After we had multiple failures with our servers, including the database having missing user data there were only a few options left, one being that Phoenix 3.0 was never to be released or that Phoenix 3.0 was to be released as an executable and maybe open-source in the future once the forums are fully back to the norm.
As for Phoenix 4.0, it's still in early development and we were still reviewing all the changes that were going to be made licence wise. Users may of had to end up getting Phoenix 4.0 even if they had a licence for Phoenix 3.0, they may of had to get an upgrade or they may of just been given it as part of their licence. It was never decided and still isn't decided, so I don't see how most people can jump to conclusions.
Sure, if you had a licence you're feeling mad that you had something which everybody else can now get. But at the same time, if it wasn't released like this nobody would of been able to use it at all.
An official release is much better than a vogue 'cracked' release.

I myself had a Phoenix licence, so I know how you feel. I feel more strongly for those that only just got a licence since 2013.
