If I were you I would just release the source so that people can learn from it. That's what I'd do but it's your decision.

Releasing the source would kill the whole phoenix project.... Not a good idea. I would love to see a few snippets though, just to see if it is true. :)

The thing that puzzles me is why would they need to crack the emu if they have the source. They could just remove the license system and "bad" command(s).
