Re: Phoenix CF [UberEmu Compatible]
Yes, as stated previously, mostly everything in this with heavy coding is encrypted. If you change anything inside the document Coldfusion can't read it, and the page breaks. I could only code it myself if I had something to learn abit from? I wont go out of my way leaning Coldfusion because Aaron feels the need to encrypt the major codes.
Re: Phoenix CF [UberEmu Compatible]
I think the troll was refering to coding a simple database manager kinda thing, like you could manage all the database from your own housekeeping.

This tool might be useful, but i'd personally find it easier to jsut log into phpMyAdmin and edit the database via that - or use Navicat!

My hotel has randomly generated 16-digit passwords for everything that needs a password. I can't remember these. PHPMyAdmin is restricted to Localhost only as there are exploits which can crash the web server. Navicat isn't any use as we chose to not accept remote MySQL Connections for safety reasons... I think that sums up why most people need a decent housekeeping (me included) :P
Re: Phoenix CF [UberEmu Compatible]
i dont like the housekeeping being on the site it would be so much better as a program

Well, True. But there are just as many security risk such as if someone keylogged you? Or someone sent a virus destroying it? Or someone got ahold of the file, somehow? Anyways it would still be in a database so if thats what you meant then splendid idea chap.

remote desktop?
Re: Phoenix CF [UberEmu Compatible]
I bet that he's hosting on Linux (MySQL and CMS), if so, SSH, not remote desktop.

Once again, 16-Digit password stored on my laptop, 90% of the time I am not on my laptop to have the password... besides, having a complete housekeeping system is just more convenient anyway, even if I had remote desktop access 100% of the time.. :P

Nothing is, being quite honest.

Over the past 3 weeks (while PhoenixCF is dead) the Emulator has seen over 15 updates.
