Yes it's required, as that function is only called if the catalog item is just a badge, where as this is called if it's an item + badge.

You need change decimal character on your regional config, here give u steps to change it.

Now for your problem on catalogue, must change furnidata, IDs mismatch between your catalogue and furnidata
